35Rem is not a rimmed cartridge so we can rule that out as a reason why the smith said no.

I've never used their brass so I can't speak to the quality, Axle. Reading the responses here, sounds as though you should have little trouble sourcing other brands if you are hesitant to try PPU.

I don't see where they say they are no longer doing CZ upgrades, only that they are subbing out small to mid size jobs to that individual. Perhaps I'm reading too much in to it but I'd guess they are trying to focus more on just CZ/custom work and getting away from general gunsmithing.

Matrix Gunsmithing is the outfit in Colorado that replaced American Hunting Rifles a couple years ago for working on CZ rifles. Are you saying Matrix is now closed as well or are you confusing Matrix with AHR?

Six years ago, after a lifetime of perfect vision, my eyesight started failing. Went in for an exam- diagnosis was very aggressive cataracts that would essentially blind me in another 6 months. It's not always old-timers.... I was 44.
