Disgraced, former Illinois Governor, Rod Blagojevich (D) stated that election fraud is a time honored tradition.

America’s best qualities are often it’s greatest weaknesses.Sadly, it is in our country. Read about Tammany Hall, or as a proud native Louisianan - Huey Long and Edwin Edwards.
Frankly, the Constitution is a major reason for it. Leaving the execution of elections largely in the hands of state and local government almost invited corruption from the date of the founding.
The founding fathers were pretty smart men.Your system does invite local or state level corruption and I have often wondered why you put up with it. However, the more I look at it, the more I realize that it's part of the inspired genius of your founding fathers. I suspect their priority was to create a system whereby a President couldn't use centralized control of the election system to morph into an elected monarch. A monarch who ruled by fiat and had the power to turn citizens into slaves. Your system may allow a Tammany Hall but it prevents a Mugabe or Putin.
You may lose an election but there will be another one in a few short years.
I actually had this conversation with my boss yesterday. My comment was Biden better hire a food taster on day 1.Should the worst case scenario occur and Biden becomes the next US president.
Does anyone know what the odds are he will last the first 100 days in office?
As a contingent: that is a side bet. Does anyone know the odds the whore will last 100 days as president?
As a cover bet: Does anyone know the odds Pelosi will be mentioned as the lead conspirator, so she could become president?
Asking for a friend.
One thing I'm proud of, the lefty billionaires didn't get much of a return for all the millions they spent trying to buy the elections. Although I guess they did stimulate the economy.
The sad thing is that the only economy that they stimulated was the owners of the TV, radio, and online area where they placed their adds. One thing I'm proud of, the lefty billionaires didn't get much of a return for all the millions they spent trying to buy the elections. The days of civility, and playing Mr. Nice guy, are over. It's time for the Republicans to get mean and nasty, or watch the party completely die within the next 10-20 years.
Lol just made the Grover Cleveland comment on my post. Trippy.@Brent in Az , I could not disagree with you more: The days of civility and playing Mr. Nice guy ended when Trump took office. Trump became the same sort of candidate as Hillary, lots of people loved them, but they both had huge negatives with lots of people hating them. People didn't vote for Biden in 2020, they voted against Trump. If Trump was a corporate executive of a publicly traded company or a high ranking officer in the US military, he would have been fired or court marshalled for his behavior (and yet, I still voted for him).
Also, mean and nasty is dividing this country. It needs to stop. The Dems are not the enemy. China, Russia, N. Korea and Iran are.
So the Republicans (my party) did the mean and nasty for the last four years and voters, particularly women voters and young voters went for Biden. Better change the delivery...........not the message, just the delivery. Also, need a new messenger, unless Trump tries for a Grover Cleveland second term.
Lol just made the Grover Cleveland comment on my post. Trippy.
Good job, you didn’t fat finger a letter.Yes, but I spelled Cleveland correctly..........![]()
@Red Leg I don't agree with you re the "generational damage" the Dems will do, or your comments regards mail in voting. Having said that though, I want to say that I really appreciate your considered and articulate views and commentary. If you would like to expand on your thoughts concerning mail in voting I would be interested in reading them. That's rich. I am not exactly sure what a "leftist Bureaucratic coup" has to do with a vote count, but perhaps you can explain further. I can be slow and dull witted when not merely complicit.
What this is about is counting ballots. Both federal Appeals Courts and the Supreme court have had cases that offered the opportunity to bring ballot mailing to a halt or to bring post election day counting to a halt. Did not happen. The courts did order some ballot reception date limitations based upon perceived conflict with state law. But no court overturned the use of mail-in ballots or taking however long is necessary to count them. By definition, it was thus legal regardless what you may imagine or opine.
That abuses occurred in that process, I have no doubt. The system is ripe for "ballot harvesting" in particular. I am certain that community organizers gathered those mailed ballots in the large democrat metropolitan areas. I have no doubt they exercised every means at there disposal to insure they were marked for the Biden Harris ticket. That may be illegal in some places (though not all) and certainly unethical, but it was no coup. The Democrat party cleverly used a Covid voting remedy to fully exploit that urban advantage in several states. That it is frustrating is certain. But it is also smart politics.
Both parties have whiffed on opportunities to pursue meaningful election reform. The constitution, 14th amendment, and case law leave much authority to the states. Neither party is really interested in giving up the advantages offered by that authority.
I should point out Georgia is run by Republicans and the vote seems to be compiled competently. It is generally following the same slow-motion blue slide caused by mail-in votes in Michigan and Pennsylvania. Georgia alone will be enough to bring this to an end.
I don't like any of this. I don't like being in a party that allowed itself to be victimized by mail in voting. But I see nothing winnable in this battle. That doesn't mean the Trump campaign shouldn't exploit its every legal recourse. But if I am correct and not merely complicit, politically the focus better shift soonest to those two Georgia senate races. Win those and Biden's "mandate" is nothing but hot air. Loose them. and the Democrat party will indeed do generational damage to our country.
Well for starters it’s not an effective process when the number one Google search following final presidential debate was “how do I change my vote”. I doubt it was so they could vote for Biden according to polling following the debate. How many more people regretted the vote because they changed their opinion after voting by mail? Also, there have been more fraudulent claims against absentee ballots than voting in person. I won’t speak for Red Leg, but my view of “general damage” would be the current news cycle. Americans don’t hold the same faith in the validity of our elections in outsized proportions this year. Why? By the evidence I have, the only thing that changed in the voting process was adding general mail-in voting.@Red Leg I don't agree with you re the "generational damage" the Dems will do, or your comments regards mail in voting. Having said that though, I want to say that I really appreciate your considered and articulate views and commentary. If you would like to expand on your thoughts concerning mail in voting I would be interested in reading them.
Anyone else going to alternative news sources or at least contemplating the change especially after this election cycle?
