In response to the deadliest mass shooting in Canadian history Trudeau forced through a ban on 1500 assault style rifles in Canada. All while withholding the information of what the shooter used.
The shooter had four weapons total three illegally imported from the U.S. and one stolen from Winnipeg.

I’d argue until hell freezes over that imposing a thousand new laws on legal gun owners isn’t going to stop one criminal with smuggled armaments from going on a rampage.

another interesting fact several of the victims of the Portapique mass shooting were legal gun owners whom could well of defended themselves And saved there fellow citizens if not for the government withholding the information that there was a mass shooting in process.

all of the above logic was employed by liberal governments.

Reversion to 3rd grade...as expected.
Exactly what I see ever time libs are presented with something they can't seem to argue with.

Today I doubt Biden has any idea what he said last night.
It's sad...he once was a pretty decent, solid compromise seeking man. Now just a face shoved in front of a group so they have someone to blame when the sh*t hits the fan years down the road as the plans fail.

@Zambezi
You have some valid points. Jack boot John Howard our prime minister at the time of the Port Auther massacre outlawed all semi auto weapons to make Joe public feel better. Just a big knee jerk reaction before anything else BUT got to keep Joe public inside and make it look like we are doing something
Being in Australia I am unaware of the stats and can only say about what a biased media tell us.
The problems in both black and white low socioeconomic areas are similar and ongoing due to multi generational welfare dependence and the upper class keeping them their. I'm not blaming the upper class because with the right motivation we can all achieve. The problem is when you see and hear the same shit each day and put up with it every day you come to believe it.
To me racism begins at home and is learned from the parents. This is sometimes unintentionally done. A simple statement like look a that lazy .............. ( insert race) can lead kids to believe all people of that race are lazy if it is said just a few times. Racial acceptance (not tolerance) is a far better value to instill in our communities and would go a long way towards taking the toxicity out of communities.
Unfortunately politicians nowdays are more interested in lining their own pockets, bullshitting to people by telling them what they want to hear and not the TRUTH so they can get into the job.
I don't care what political affiliation a person has most Pollies ate full of bullshit.

I think the only way to solve the world's problems is to put me in charge. I know I'd vote for myself.

Failing that a return to common sense and common decency would go a long way to restoring some balance. But best of all would be for everyone to switch off their tv's. The media is no longer a source of news but more a vehicle for propaganda.

Well of course, the working people didn't have time to take a survey.
I always tell my kids when i was young if the president was talking, it was on all 5 channels.
Which was true, a kid was a tv hostage back then. But atleast by the time i was an adult, i could tell truth from bs.
Most people now days just reaf a headline and follow along with the same thoughts.
I wonder how many kids will see that cbs stat and just think thats America's opinion ?

Respectfully, I could not disagree more. This is a man who commands the room both in a carasmatic and humbling way (unlike the previous 2 presidents). When he speaks, he speaks to Joe Sixpack because that (despite his law degree and millionaire status) is fundamentally who he is. There is a lot to debate about; and we can have that debate. However,, he is a man who cares about America, and he deeply cares about the people of this country whether they voted for him or not.

Regardless - as anchor Brian Williams just said, "no one shouted 'you lie' and no one ripped up the speech, so we will take that as a win in the past 20 years" :E Shrug: :E Hmmm: :A Yeah:

If you are indeed serious, your analysis of Biden's address is just another shocking and disappointing example of how divided we are in this country. Please try an explain to me exactly what it is about Biden that makes you feel secure, proud, or positive of where this county is headed under this Administration, and I am asking sincerely?

As far as I am concerned, the comparison of the Biden of old and the Biden of today is irrelevant to the assessment of his overall character or ability to competently lead what used to be the most powerful nation on the planet. History has proven that Biden has consistently been on the wrong side of most policy for the last 47 years. He was a weak leader rejected twice as a presidential candidate by his own party even when he was taken seriously. Now, he's a bumbling, flip-flopping, puppet barely in charge of his own faculties. I find it impossible that any sane, reasonable, individual capable of common sense and basic intellect can honestly take this man seriously.

To claim that Biden "deeply cares" about the American people suggests a profound naïveté, or a lack knowledge in regard to Biden's political career. Biden is a poster boy for the D.C. Swamp. The only thing he has ever "deeply cared" about was lining the pockets of himself, his family and cronies.

My wife - who is as non-confrontational and as kind a soul as you will ever meet - every time she sees a speech like this, or a public appearance where he struggles through... she always says she thinks it's sad and a form of elder abuse that so many sought to prop him up like this to further their agenda, when it's clear he is so far from who he once was.

Problem is that they teach "revisionist" history these days, which can lead to "real" history events repeating themselves because of ignorance as to true historical events. We live in a world of instant gratification with real time "I want it now" and "free is for me" mentalities of especially the younger generation and history doesn't matter to them. I remember the days of high inflation, 18-21 percent interest rates even on mortgages (mine was 16%) gasoline prices that almost doubled overnight, massive job losses because of it. This was in the early '80s here. A peanut farmer was our President, Sleepy China Joe was in Congress and was part of the economic disaster problem. Biden's proposed policies now with massive amounts of spending ("free for me"!) of monopoly money most likely will lead to higher inflation and interest rates at the VERY LEAST. The Fed has kept interest rates so low for so long now, they won't be able to lower them enough to counter that. For the younger generation: Be careful who you vote for and what you wish for and pay attention to real history. If not, you too could experience the fun we had in the early '80s. No "stimulus" or "bailouts" for us then!

I was brought up to not discuss politics, religion and mmmmm cannot remember the third.....in a nice environment because it will go to sh.t....

The third one is football, rugby, baseball, cricket, basketball.......
