Biden Presidential address to congress

Look in your mirror to see a loon. You are as lost as your hero Joe, the libtard. I will waste no more time with you, life is too short.

Respectfully, I could not disagree more. This is a man who commands the room both in a carasmatic and humbling way (unlike the previous 2 presidents). When he speaks, he speaks to Joe Sixpack because that (despite his law degree and millionaire status) is fundamentally who he is. There is a lot to debate about; and we can have that debate. However,, he is a man who cares about America, and he deeply cares about the people of this country whether they voted for him or not.

Regardless - as anchor Brian Williams just said, "no one shouted 'you lie' and no one ripped up the speech, so we will take that as a win in the past 20 years" :E Shrug: :E Hmmm: :A Yeah:

How many rooms have you been in with Joe Biden?

I met him on his book tour several years back, in the public presentation and semi-private. There are very few politicians who care about what you tell them. With Joe Biden, you leave knowing he cares about you.

I've been in many rooms with him, you and I have a very different view. I suspect the spills over a wide range of things, so that isn't surprising I guess.

Well that makes at least two of us.

Though my engagements over two years were a bit more lengthy and focused on Department of the Army fiscal issues. The man dancing to the tugs of the strings the last hundred days has nothing in common with the man with whom I dealt in the early 2000's. In those days, he was a sharp, practical moderate, who would never have given lip service, much less actual support to court packing, ending the filibuster, or budget busting giveaways that undermine the very people he claimed to champion for the majority of his career.

I have no idea who is currently running the country. Of one thing I am certain. It is not the aged automaton trying to read that speech tonight.

I grew up in Delaware, its a small state, we have met more than a few times.

What amazes me is how much his mind has slipped. He was an extremely good politician, could meet you once remember your name, where your from, and something about you. Thats why he always got a pass on some of his gaffs.

Go back and watch old Senate tapes, he is a different person with different policies.

Exactly. Totally different human being.

Moreover, he was wired to seek compromise and common ground. That man, would never have consented to read much of that progressive "our way or nothing" nonsense this evening.

I am utterly dumbfounded at what is happening in America over the past several years. Trump is elected largely because he is different than other politicians. Left decides effectively to declare all out war against this new President; start with "not my president" chants, move to attempts of increasingly outrageous legal maneuvers as each one before it fails miserably, use the left controlled media to spew their lies and propaganda, and systematically undermine both the POTUS and hard working Americans. Despite all of rhe hurdles and road blocks, Trump builds one of the strongest economies in American history, record or near record low unemployment rates across most every demographic, negotiates and/or re establishes positions of strength against foreign countries, and overall improves the quality of life for the majority of Americans.

When a GLOBAL pandemic hits, it creates the perfect opportunity for left to use their deceitful and manipulative strategies. They disagree with every move Trump makes, up to and including taking 180 degree turns of previous statements; whatever suits their current narrative, truth be damned. (*NOTE for those of you who want to oppose this post:* these are documented turns of statement and position that can easily be proven with video and audio recordings.) They create lies upon lies, manipulate facts, and otherwise prey on weak minds. Then use it as a smokescreen to keep a senile old man locked away and unable to completely discredit himself as a competent human (although again, reasonable self thinkers see his dementia and question how he is in the position he is). All in the name of setting up for their next phase.

Even if I ignore the many, many idiosyncrasies that a reasonable person would question, and pretend like Biden somehow actually won, we now see continued exploitation of the American people by a radical and nearing tyrannical rule attempt. Complete hypocrisy runs amuck; don't question the president, show support instead of contempt, cover up Hunter Bidens messes instead of trying (and failing) to dig up evidence against Trumps family, and I could go on. Basically the only consistency is lying to the public. They buy "loyalty" by creating dependency, exploiting the groups they so loudly pretend to be helping.

I can't fathom how people are stupid enough to buy their bullshit. I refuse to believe a majority of America actually does. And yet, here we are.

I admire a liberal democrat when they walk the walk. You know, they voluntarily give up their guns, write a big check to the government to pay extra taxes, take several down and out immigrants into their homes and pay all expenses, and share their retirement plans with people in foreign countries. Not only talking the talk. I could admire that. But I never saw it. I only saw libs that wanted YOU to do those things. And giving people an opportunity to say otherwise? Well, as Lester Holt, liberal, democrat and award winning journalist said recently, "fairness is overrated...giving an open platform for the an opposing point of view.....is very dangerous". That explains why when an AH member gives a very clear, concise conservative argument, it receives an emotional gibberish comment by a lib in reply ......they don't listen, don't need to hear another side, they know it all. "We're not interested in facts, we're interested in truth" said Joe Biden. (after a video caught him inappropriately touching a teenage girl)......no facts, just the truth. And who decides what is true? Sleazy Joe, the millionaire, the common man, the blackmailer of Ukraine?........FWB

Biden is addressing congress live at the moment. I was waiting for it. Bam, he is coming after the guns. Spent awhile talking about the brady bill and wanting similiar laws and changing the constitution.
Here we go !!!
It always was the plan, always is the Marxist plan. Have to disarm to dominate. Seen it all before

I can only speak of what we see on tv in Australia.
Yes the c.f. USA is a mess at the moment but then again it was under uncle Donald.
One thing Trump did was stand up t o China and North Korea but he seemed to discount the China flu with some snake oil remedies.
Biden has fulfilled his promise twice over with the vaccination. Something our gov't is stuffing up.
Trump banned bump stock and some other things.
There have been 187 mass shootings in the U.S. since t h e start of the year. Surely we as firearms owner should be concerned about as they are members of someone's family. Surely some form of legislation could be put in place like striker screening and smaller capacity magazines. NO one will ever convince me you need a 20 or 30 shot mags capacity to hunt with or protect your home.
Your second amendment gives you the right to bear armsBUT it doesn't say what type. Any government can say you can't have this or that and make them illegal. They can tell you what arms you can have without breaching the 2nd because you will still be able to be armed.
Racism is rampant world wide both overtly and covertly and is something that will never be eradicated. The number of police shooting in the USA of a high percentage of African Americans compare to other is wrong and police forces need to be held accountable. In Australia we had a royal commission into Aboriginal deaths in custody and nothing has really changed there is still an improportionate number of Aboriginal people in custody.
A joke that still goes around in police station when Aboriginal people are placed in cells is they are going to put wardrobes in the cells to give the black pricks more hanging space. NO appropriate or funny. We are trying to break this type of mentality but when it is multi generationally ingrained it is hard to change.
Yes something needs to be done but where do we start. Not by slinging shit at another's beliefs is a good start.
Fortunately in Australia we have independent Pollies that keep the bastard honest. That why I vote for the Shooter, fishers and Farmers party.
Sorry for the rant but the world is bad enough at the moment.

Agree with some of your post Bob but also disagree with some of it too. Yes racism is rampant worldwide and we can't just shrug our shoulders and say move on but we also have to be equally aware of the knee jerk responses and quick fixes that politicians and liberals throw out there that actually do more harm than good.

As for the "high percentage: of US police shootings of African Americans... this is simply not the case at all. If you look at the publicly available stats the number of African Americans shot by police (both armed and unarmed perps) is way less than the national percentage/average. A cop is more likely to shot a non African American than he is to to shoot one. And in light of the current libtard atmosphere the cop is even less likely to do so as his life will be over even if it was a justified shooting.

It is a sad state of affairs but African Americans commit a disproportional percentage of crime. The ROOT cause has to be dealt with if we are to see any change.

How do we go about changing the yahoos that shoot up the public? I have no answer! Maybe MORE guns. In places / towns where everyone carries the perp knows he is more likely to come across an armed "victim" so murder is far less there. In the most strict gun law cities in the US the murder rate is the highest... by a wide margin.

More restrictions don't create safer spaces! Any fool hell bent on shooting up a crowd can get a 20/30 round mag or can make one. Or create a fully auto weapon or get one. Rules only rule the law abiding. Criminals LOVE gun control as it is more likely their victims won't be armed and be able to fight back.

As for mud slinging, you're probably right but I think worldwide we have had it up to our eye teeth with liberals destroying our rights and beliefs and the world is plain and simply worse off because of them. I for one (and I think many others) have just drawn our line in the sand and are saying enough is enough.

Just my 2c

I thiink s big part of the mag debate will be lifestyle and ease of use. I've had 50rd mags for my ruger 10/22 since i was 18. I can load 4 the night before, and just have fun at the range the next day. I really dont want to have to have 20 mags to load amd carry. My son is the same way with his ar's. Just seems more like a nuisance law than anything else. Changing a mag is pretty quick if u know what your doing, it wont stop criminals from killing. The m1 garand is a fast rifle in the right hands, without any 30rd mag.
My son is now talking about ordering a belt feeder for his ar15. Keeping 10 links to a unit, if s law is passed. But links can be put together very quickly. The criminals will figure this out aswell , then they will outlaw belt systems.
Im a firm beliver that a criminal will find a way. Be it knives, bombs or homemade mags.
One funny thing about the us press. If a ar is used in a crime, it will be showcased and mentioned several times. If the gun is a revolver, pump shotgun or a bolt gun, you will be lucky if they even mention the caliber.
I don't have the answers. But I don't believe taking away rights is it.

@Zambezi
You have some valid points. Jack boot John Howard our prime minister at the time of the Port Auther massacre outlawed all semi auto weapons to make Joe public feel better. Just a big knee jerk reaction before anything else BUT got to keep Joe public inside and make it look like we are doing something
Being in Australia I am unaware of the stats and can only say about what a biased media tell us.
The problems in both black and white low socioeconomic areas are similar and ongoing due to multi generational welfare dependence and the upper class keeping them their. I'm not blaming the upper class because with the right motivation we can all achieve. The problem is when you see and hear the same shit each day and put up with it every day you come to believe it.
To me racism begins at home and is learned from the parents. This is sometimes unintentionally done. A simple statement like look a that lazy .............. ( insert race) can lead kids to believe all people of that race are lazy if it is said just a few times. Racial acceptance (not tolerance) is a far better value to instill in our communities and would go a long way towards taking the toxicity out of communities.
Unfortunately politicians nowdays are more interested in lining their own pockets, bullshitting to people by telling them what they want to hear and not the TRUTH so they can get into the job.
I don't care what political affiliation a person has most Pollies ate full of bullshit.
