A Question for Democrats (My Rant)

I am seriously worried about the state of the Trump presidency. At this point he needs to get the wall and tax reform but both are seeming more and more unlikely. I think Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell are the two most despicable politicians in Washington and need to go. Also, I am all for going after Russia and anyone affiliated with election tampering as well as public chastisement of Trump for his ridiculous tweets, but at some point there has to be some policy progress. Who would have thought a Republican congress would get nothing done. Build the wall, cut taxes, protect guns...

You can't leave Harry Reid & Nancy Pelosi out of that category...... How much time & money is wasted on the Russia crap, that has yet turned up nothing. Yet there is a shit-ton of evidence of votor fraud right here in USA, with illegals voting, no id req & admins cast 100's of ballots.

Ultimately, these pussies in DC don't ever want to move the needle to much, in fear or rocking the boat, making waves..... in fear of loosing their gravy train. If it was such a hard & thankless job, then why would so many sign up to do it for life? Poppycock. The more of the status quo, the more guarantee of re-election & easy life.

Even the good ones, are bad ones......

When Trump won my wife was terrified, I told her don't you worry, never underestimate the incompetence of a Republican Congress.

Trump winning showed what they are worth, they sent I think 7 bills to repeal Obamacare to Obama's desk and then Trump wins and they have no idea what to do...What a bunch of bullshitters and liars! Posturing for donations and re-election. I have voted Republican my whole life but I can admit they are also part of the problem.

Won't/can't argue there..... only to add..... It's easy to spend other peoples money, giving away shit for free. Which is what the democrats a great at. It's hard to take away free shit (i.e. programs) ..... That is kinda the difference. Giving away vs. Cutting back.

For crying out loud give the guy a freaking chance! He's been president for a whopping 6 months, Odumbo had 8 years!! I so far am about 90 percent happy with Trump. Do his tweets bother me? Not really, its time someone tuned up the idiots on the left and assclowns like Morning Puke Joe, the non republican twerp and his sidekick the Twerpet! Honestly, as has been said, these morons and Hillary and Obama and Loretta Lynch and Jim Homey Comey, Crying Chuck U Schumer, Big Eyes Pelosi, Maxine Underwater, and all the other libtards and their ilk are exactly why Trump won. Now get over it!

Yes, we have not been successful at winning the special elections. That being said, we were not supposed to. When you normally lose by 20 points and now you only lose by 5 points, it provides a realistic opportunity (and frankly expectation) to win in purple districts where the past few cycles have been much much closer.

As stated and I will sadly not dispute, the democrats have overall lacked a backbone. Yes we have Clinton, Biden, Sanders, and Warren - but they are pretty much the only ones willing to bark as loud as many many republicans. Now just because you are the loudest it does not make you correct, but that is the way to win elections in the United Sates.

Because of this, I do agree with your assessment that we are unlikely to take a super majority in congress after the '18 election. That's not our objective though; we want to take a super majority from the 2020 election and 2018 will serve as a building block to that. Our goal is to ensure Trump or Pence is a lame duck president after next year and we prevent him from doing our country (or at least our agenda) harm. Then in 2021 we can achieve (by force if we have to but I think there will be some republican votes like there was in the Affordable Care Act) single payer medicare for all health care. That should and will be our top priority.
Excuse me, I think I feel my gorge rising, must go empty my stomach. I sure do get a kick out of the old, "well we lost yeah, but we should have lost by 20 points and not 5, so actually we won". You gotta love it.

I feel the need to vent on this whole Russia thing. Two points:

1. I have not heard one single accusation that the Russians made anything up, or spread false news, or tampered with votes. All it seems they did to hack the Democrat's emails - effectively telling Americans what the Democrats were really thinking when they thought no one was listening. I get that we all have a right to privacy, but don't you think you should know what those running for office really think?

2. If the Russians interfered in a US election, I wonder where they learned it? Tell me the US has never interfered in any other country's elections? In fact, tell to the Chileans, the Guatamalans, the Grenadians, the Vietnamese, the Ukrainians, the Congolese, the Cubans, the Libyans, the Iranians, and on and on and on. People in glass houses . . .

Have I got this wrong?

its only been 6 months man....don't be seriously worried. Way too soon for that. Relax and enjoy the asskicking of the loserparty. And I didn't see it mentioned yet but I for one REALLY enjoy the fact the Crazy Bernie and his wife are under FBI investigation for all manner of things having to do with Jane running a college into bankruptcy by some questionable means. I love it. Crazy Bernie is just that, a crazy wild eyed socialist, who believes that big govt should control everyones money and shell it out as it sees fit. Take a hike Bernie. I would ask those who think we should have the same health care as "the rest of the world", first of all who has better than us, answer nobody and where in the Constitution is health care mentioned? Those who think govt should guarantee everything in life are fools and should remember that the more govt can do for you, the more it can do to you. Honestly for those who want to be taken care of from cradle to grave by govt, move somewhere else. Remember nothing is free, somebody had to pay for it. Where do these idiots think money comes from? Maggie Thatcher perhaps said it best, "the only problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other peoples money".

Those who are still shook up about the myth of the Russian hacking/Trump collusion thing should remember that just a few weeks before the election their hero Odumbo said very publicly that it was nearly impossible for that to happen and that Trump should stop whining and go get votes. So if Odumbo didn't think it was any big deal then, why is it a big deal now? Oh right, nearly forgot, Hillary lost! She wasn't supposed to.

What I find most interesting about this moral victory is the massive amount of money that was thrown into the losses. You know, the ones that they already knew they were gonna lose.

Gotta give Trump credit here too. In CA for instance he knew he was gonna lose, so he didn't waste his time. He didn't care if he got a single vote. He went to fight where he had a chance.

I'm really fine with libs being tone deaf and spending millions where it is wasted. It helps the conservative cause.

Trump did just what Odumbo told him to do, "go out and get some votes". See he listens to people, LOL!:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::eek::eek::rolleyes::rolleyes:(y)(y)

i think ill just sit back and enjoy our win,tee hee.

California Dems decry 'bullying,' death threats from the left after shelving health bill

California Democratic lawmakers are facing a brutal backlash from union activists and others on the left after shelving a universal health care bill – a debate that has grown so intense that lawmakers say they’ve faced death threats and other violent rhetoric.

Assembly Democrats publicly decried the “bullying tactics” in a written statement over the weekend, maintaining that lawmakers are committed to improving health care but need to have an “open discourse.”

“In recent days, we have become alarmed and disheartened by bullying tactics, threats of violence, and death threats by a few who disagree with the decision of Speaker Anthony Rendon to postpone the advancement of SB 562,” they said, referring to the scrapped single-payer health care bill. “While it is appropriate for persons of varying views to express concern, disapproval or disfavor about the delay, it is never acceptable to engage in those tactics.”

Rendon announced on June 23 that he was shelving legislation to set up a government-run, single-payer health care system in the state. This prompted an immediate backlash from the California Nurses Association, which had backed the $400 billion plan.

On social media, the union circulated the image of a California bear with a knife stuck in its back. On the blade was Rendon’s name. The protests and rhetoric escalated from there.

One tweet that gained attention in local media said, “I pray someone checks his schedule for baseball practice” – an apparent reference to the Rep. Steve Scalise shooting outside Washington last month.

Rendon also confirmed that he’s faced death threats over the decision to halt consideration of the bill.

“It is shameful how the proponents of SB 562 have provided false hope to people who are suffering,” he said in a statement to the Mercury News and East Bay Times.

The Mercury News quoted a spokesman for the nurses union saying “no one that we know was involved” in making threats such as the one that referenced the Scalise shooting.

But the union has remained defiant.

RoseAnn DeMoro, executive director of the association, tweeted:

“#Dems are telling activists trying to fight for lives that speaking up to Dems is ‘Bullying’.. ‘Shut Up & Sit Down’.. Nope #SinglePayer.”

The statement from Assembly Democrats, though, suggested that their critics on this issue are adopting tactics they once condemned.

“The political campaign of 2016 was filled with verbal attacks and even calls for violence. These are tactics that we all abhor. Let us not become the persons that we detest,” they said.

The bill in question had passed the Senate, but Rendon put a halt to it amid questions over how the plan would be paid for. He described the bill as “woefully incomplete.”

The government-run health care plan would cost $400 billion annually – supposedly paid for by a combination of repurposed state funds and new tax revenue. Under the plan, medical care would be provided for every California resident, including those without legal immigration status.

“It certainly wasn’t a bill,” Rendon told The Hill. “There was absolutely no funding attached to a $400 billion proposal, no service delivery mechanism.”

Vermont independent Sen. Bernie Sanders, a proponent of a single-payer system, said he is “extremely disappointed” with the decision, having hoped California would lead the country toward universal health care.

Fox News’ Samantha Mendiguren contributed to this report.

Take a look at the Georgia special election. Pajama boy, spent 5 times more, than his Republican adversary.
Hillary outspent the Donald by far. Everyone, including myself, thought she was going to win.

I hate to say this, but I fear for Trump's life.
He has pissed off a lot of powerful people. Trump has effectively put road blocks in the global elites agenda. The radical left and they're assassination rhetoric, is only going to motivate some lunatics to make an attempt. Maybe ISIS operatives? Maybe the globalists? Illuminati? Trump told the climate changers to stuff it. Sryia, Iraq, North Korea, Mexican Cartel, certainly would like to see him gone.

Trump can do well, if given the chance. He already has.

We are back to the same old crap. They been investigating each other since Nixon. That way they don't have to do anything.

It is not about what they release or what we have done in the past. It is about a foreign nation hacking our country and attempting to meddle in our elections. Not to sound like an elitist westerner and say that our country is the best in the world or anything...but it is, sorry! When it comes to America, there really is a double standard. We cannot let ourselves lose face globally by allowing other nations to treat us like some second rate South American nation.

Ok, feel free to sound like an elitist westerner.

Do you think that every Canadian wants to be an American? Or maybe just the smart ones? I'm married to an American and my children are American citizens. I'm just a poor Canuck, and you know what, I'm happy keeping it that way, and supporting a pretty neat group of Americans (my family) on my Canadian earnings.

Would it be fair to paraphrase you and say that you can't let yourselves lose face by allowing other nations to treat you as you treat them?

Let's be serious. We can all be proud of our countries without claiming that they are the greatest in the world.

You want to support 1 more American? Could use some extra funds for next spring's trip! :D

America has long meddled in foreign elections, to the point of political assasination (imagine if a foreign power did such to one of our rightly elected leaders, on our soil). In this case, with regard to Russia, we are very much the pot calling the kettle black.

My one hope with regard to a Trump presidency has been an easing of tensions with Russia. I continue to hold out this hope (it'll be interesting to see how Trump handles himself during the upcoming G20 meeting).

Hi Jay,

Hope you're well.

I'm headed your way in January.

Attending SHOT Show has been a long time bucket list item for me.

Finally made it happen and I'm headed to Vegas.

I know you're some distance from Vegas - but would be keen to catch up if it works out.

Have a good one.

Mark
