.375 Cal Suppressor anyone?

When will this be available?

Will any of you shorten your .375 barrel to keep the total length shorter? I wonder if 2-3” cut off the barrel will help balance the whole rifle/suppressor combo better without too much fps loss??

No it does not make it louder. The Silencer Co Omega, which came out quite a few years ago, has one as well. I didn't believe it worked so I never used it. TBAC claims huge recoil reduction with this new design. I will get one but I have a few other toys to buy first.
Philip, you need to try out the 375 AB raptor suppressor. The over the barrel component is awesome, but it has a flush mount too. You can get it from 4 inches up to 9 inches long. The over the barrel portion can be 3 inches or 5 inches. you can have a 9 inch long suppressor, with only 4 inches extending past the tip of the barrel.

I also had Justin sip make me a dedicated 416 caliber suppressor, also over the barrel. It will have 5 inches over the barrel, with only 4 inches extending past the tip.. He did it for $1000. I have not received it yet, but there are a few dedicated, large, caliber suppressors, most are meant for 45 handgun, ammo, or either meant for 50 caliber, BMG‘s.

For sure, I run all my barrels at 20 to 20 1/2”. Phillip and I do shoot 375 Ruger, so we get the same Ballistics of a 24 inch H&H out of the 20 inch barrel.

Check out my post above about the over the barrel suppressors. You can get full length suppression with only adding 4 to 5 inches of total length.

Another reason some people go to Blaser R8 with the magazine integrally built with the trigger, there’s about 3 inches less length overall on direct pull rifles. So a base direct pole rifle in 375 Ruger is approximately 7 inches shorter than a standard bolt action 24 inch barrel rifle.

I just got notice that my .375 suppressor from Black Collar Arms is finished.
So you did an AB raptor also, or did you do an integrally suppressed barrel?

Europe and Blaser way ahead of us. The future is for all barrels to be Integrally supressed. Only downside for us behind Americans (crazy to think we are behind in guns) is then the whole weapon is tax stamped. You can double stamp it and then change the barrel to standard if you want to sell. Does make it easier with Blaser since the barrel and receiver are stamped as separate items.

I’ve almost pulled the trigger on a 375 raptor sbd several times. So much you can do with that firearm. One guy has harvested a ton of Cape buffalo with his. For a southern hunter where shots are rarely over 200 yards it seems perfect.

Check out how quiet and soft recoiling they are with both sub and super ammo.

I did the AB Raptor not the integral.

I did that one too! I just got two out of jail that I bought one month before it so hopefully soon.
It’s at my local gunsmith so have gotten to play with it and shoot it. It’s so cool. The reflex part actually comes way back on my short barrels and looks more like and integral barrel which looks way better than can hanging off end.

I love this look. Again almost like an Integral barrel. Also doesn’t make the rifle front heavy.

Hmmmmm, put a $3000 scope and a $2000 can on a $1500 rifle .... makes a lot of sense. Of course I just spent a whole bunch on my 375 RSM so unfortunately I can relate to this kind'a thing.

Ya can't take it with you.
I figure I avoided the mid-life corvette/sportscar or sailboat sickness so a nice blaser with a carbon stock and good glass and a suppressor for my helicopter-damaged ears is just fine. Probably have enough leftover for a bottle of Oban 14.

As I get a little more (ahem) "middle aged" (there I said it) I get the wisdom in buy once cry once.

I have looked at the AB and it looks cool.

I am looking at buying one of these in Namibia. About $400 CDN. Anyone have any first hand experience with the A-tec H2 line? They are made in Norway and come in a wide variety of threads.

I have a banish 30 gold and really like it. Some bash the marketing and price, but I’ve never read any bad review of the can itself.

It’s an excellent can. I have the backcountry and .22. My next is the 30 Gold. User serviceability is important to me now. My original cans were AAC before they sold. Excellent cans, but heavy, non serviceable and only direct mount options. Still use them but bench only.

Trust me I would also be ragging on a man card carrying gent that showed up to camp suppressed. Either way still need one for the wife and willing to take a little grief for her comfort.
Cheers!

HH

Buy her a 9,3x62. Remember, you might share a hunting photo with her, revoking your man card…

Hi Jay,

Hope you're well.

I'm headed your way in January.

Attending SHOT Show has been a long time bucket list item for me.

Finally made it happen and I'm headed to Vegas.

I know you're some distance from Vegas - but would be keen to catch up if it works out.

Have a good one.

Mark
