I'm wondering why you might feel it's custom barrel work? The easiest route would be to take a RSM in 458Lott have it re-chambered to 450 Dakota/Rigby. Have an Rsm 416 rigby mag follower and Extracor fitted, also the bolt face might need some work. I'm sure a good gunsmith can get this done for...

I have switched from using 4350 in the 450 rigby to 4895 powder. I can use a smaller charge for the same velocity, that also translates to lower recoil. If you PM me I can send you some loads I have used running over 2350fps with varios 500 gr bullets. Best of luck.

Picked some stomic 29 in .458 .375 & 9.3, but not tried them. The heaviest he makes in 458 is 450 gr. They look like they a CNC machined . This is a photo of a barnes 458 500rg on the left and atomic .458 450 rg on right.

Lovely Choice.. it should pair up nicely with your Rigby in 450 rigby. If I were to buy a highland stalker I would choose the 9.3x62. I'm sure your going to love it. Pair it up with some 200gr cutting edge loaded to around 2800fps and your good to go for most game excluding Buffalo...

I wanted to ask if anyone has mounted a Reflex RMR sight to a Rigby Big Game SSB. I was thinking of doing this but wanted to ask if anyone knows if someone makes a mount that will fit the rear sight dovetail. I wanted a set up that could be easily reversed.

I have one of the Paul Roberts era built Rigby rifles in 450 rimless that was built using a Brno action. The safety on it works in reverse to the normal 602, mine is push forward to fire.

I hunted unit 5 late last year with Martin. I saw lots of really nice Roan on the block on an almost daily basis. Whoever takes this hunt is going to shoot a realy great bull. If your after free range Roan then this is your chace.

@Wheels, There is still storage with Central Firearms Bureau in Nairobi. Although most would prefer to store firearms with a licensed dealer.
