I'm a 1M Diamond flyer on Delta (KLM partner airline) and still have nothing but trouble with KLM connections/flights in-out of Europe. All good until it isn't with KLM and then they're unreachable when it comes to lost luggage etc No way I'd trust them with a firearm. Like Air France...

If you can stretch the budget a bit, step up to something from the full Seiko diver line, they'll have screw down crowns vs the push detents found on most of the Seiko 5's. Not that the 5 Sports are bad, but water resistance is significantly enhanced with the screw down crown set-up

You can never go wrong with a Made in Japan Seiko for the money. A horologically legitimate, in-house movement watch for sure! Screw down crown, solid waterproof rating and good lume.

The classic Boyt Hawkeye. I put my rifles in them, then inside the hard Pelican for travel. Great system that provides travel protection and soft cases for use in the trucks on the hunt.

Looks like late 80's vintage Burris tip-off rings for standard grooved rimfire rifle receivers. Used to sell them by the boatload at the gun shop I worked in back in St Paul. Great quality and, at the time, they were -30% lower priced vs Leupold rings.

Thank you. Yes, I agree. I get extras from my Rolex AD. Their bars have proven to be excellent. I carry a spare set in my toiletry kit, but never a failure as I wear my watches fairly loose on the wrist.

Hasn't been to Africa (yet), but the Explorer on a NATO might just be the ticket. No one notices it on the NATO and the GMT function is great for travel

Agreed, some rifles can be very sensitive to bullet design/material. My new production Win Mod 70 375 would not shoot the Norma 300gr Bonded Oryx loads well. 2-3 MOA. I started to wonder if something was wrong with the rifle. Tried the Barnes 300gr Triple Shock and it was like a new rifle...

Just got back from a hunt in South Africa. Used that same bullet in a 308 (Steyr Scout). Flattened everything from impala to wildebeest and kudu with one shot. Upsets recovered from the kudu, wildebeest and warthog. Great performance from the 300gr Barnes on my buffalo at 110 yards.

As I said, for large tough dangerous game, I agree, I'd certainly use a heavy duty bullet, but I've lost count of how many problems I've seen with soft "premium" bullets fired from magnum cartridges and then conversely, tough copper bullets that didn't open up on small-medium game when paired...

For larger, tougher game, there's no doubt a heavy duty bullet like a Barnes, Partition, A-Frame etc is the ticket but when it comes to small and medium game, a simple, accurate cup and core bullet can be a great choice. There's a ton of marketing fluff that goes into selling folks expensive...

Agreed, it's a labor of love. Luckily, I have a good stock of 12ga 2 1/2" for my old English box lock.

That's a great shell if you shoot a fine 16ga double. High quality (or any) 2 1/2" ammo has been unobtainium these days in America.
