Your 3 favorite hunting cartridges of all time

Just a little outside the box thinking(y) My 405 is a Simson double rifle that is just so much fun to shoot. At some point it has a alaska bear written all over it.
Taking my 450NE double for Cape Buff next year. still trying to decide which to bring as second rifle? 9.3x74R double, 9.3x62 custom mauser, or 416 Rigby Ruger RMS. My better half is bring her 7x57 and twin to my 9.3x62. Just over a year to go and cant wait.

Just 3 huh, cutting it kinda close here, but I would have to go with:

Winchester Model 70 25 WSSM. It routinely puts 3 Hornady 117 grain Interlocks in a 1/2" 100 yd group. Very compact, easy on the shoulder rifle. Nothing safe within 300 yards.
Interarms Mark X 338-06. Hands down one of the most underrated cartridges in the history of humanity. Nearly equals (as far as game is concerned) 338 WM, holds an extra round in the magazine, less blast and recoil, and less powder burnt. A winner all the way around.
Ruger RSM 375 H&H. The number one rifle in my collection. Was previously owned by Ed Matunas and used on a few of his safaris. I WILL take this rifle on my own hunt one day!! lol The cartridge is an without a doubt, the single most useful weapon ever designed.

.257 Ackley
.30 Gibbs - my favorite for elk, etc for about 30 years, before I replaced it with my .300 Weatherby, my current favorite!
.375 RUM

AZDAVE,

Either your 9.3x62 or perhaps share wife's 7x57 but, the 9.3 seems like the best one to me.

Velo Dog.

Nugget here. A guide gave me the nickname as I looked similar to Nugent at the time. Hunting for over 50 years yet I am new to hunting in another country and its inherent game species. I plan to do archery. I have not yet ruled out the long iron as a tag-along for a stalk. I am still deciding on a short list of game. Not a marksman but better than average with powder and string.

Everyone always thinks about the worst thing that can happen, maybe ask yourself what's the best outcome that could happen?
