Politics

This is just one of the first links I saw when I searched but gets the point across of one particular reason why some are not sold on IVF. Like I said earlier. We're playing God now.

With all due respect, you really don't understand what this process entails. It is not "playing god", it is act of God's love to give some couples the ability to have a child and experience that love. I am more than happy to have a private conversation with you about it, if you are open to it.

That article didn't say in plain terms what happens to the embryos not chosen. These embryos are discarded. Again I made my point clear that some view an embryo as a life and some don't. I go back to the cake metaphor.

I would also point to paragraph 3 of the article below as to what often happens if more than the desired number of embryos develop into a fetus.

This is yet another example of why some are opposed to IVF which was my main point to @VertigoBE .

If you can enlighten me as to how choosing a desired, screened embryo, discarding the rest and possibly aborting extra fetuses when too many take isn't at least borderline playing God then I'm all ears. Maybe playing God is a term some don't like but you can't discount others moral and ethical concerns.

Yes I understand giving people the ability to be parents through IVF. It's everything that goes along with the process that people question and/or flat out disagree with.

Let's also not forget the complete lack of responsibility on all sides with the world famous "Octomom" IVF saga.

If there is something you don't wish to air publicly and would rather do in a private conversation I'm all ears and open to it. If it's something you can say publicly I would encourage it for the benefit of all. My views are pretty clear.

Back to a less divisive topic. Politics

Kamala has gotten enough delegates to gain the nomination. She’s also gotten 80 million in 24 hours.

I still believe after the initial buzz and high is over. people will be reminded of her policies and three-year track record of destruction.
It’s definitely a horse race now.

Trump needs to quickly, and divisively state, loud and often. That Roe v. Wade was never constitutional
And he returned it to the states where it should be. And that he has no further plans to make abortion illegal nationwide.

The federalist’ designed our system this way. So you have the freedom to move to a state where you are more aligned with the laws.

If Trump doesn’t make a definitive statement that he is not going to go further on abortion. Harris can definitely win.

Then we are back to holding the house and maybe gaining the Senate to limit the damage she can cause.

her incompetence will almost certainly get us into a major war eventually.

Watching the left now fawn over her after 3+ years of rightfully not wanting to acknowledge her existence is astonishing. There is no bottom for them.

But isn't this exactly what Trump supporters expect, even demand of Halley and DeSantis supporters? Ignore the issues that caused them to support their candidate in the first place for the greater good of the party, or to save the country, or whatever. Don't misunderstand me, it is the right approach for the republican party, but it is rather naive to think the Democrats would be higher minded.

The polls will tell us something in the next couple of weeks. Most voters are not going to sit down and carefully analyze her position on most issues. She is democrat and she was Biden's VP. They will see her as a continuation of those policies - policies already supported by half the American people. What worries me, is that they will also see a dramatic contrast to Biden - a far younger and articulate contrast. What should worry republicans, is that she will also seem that way in comparison to Trump. One should be particularly worried about that contrast in a debate.

There absolutely is an equivalency and really isn't surprising. It's how quickly all of this has unfolded and been shoved down dem voters throats that has compounded it for me.

I also see Harris as a person with zero accomplishments and many things stacked against her. Trump for his many faults is accomplished. Like JD Vance just said, all she's done is collect a check.

Agreed on the point of age contrast. Something I was thinking about yesterday when people were saying she had no chance.

I agree with you Red Leg. To the masses she will appear to wipe the floor with Trump in a debate.

He will make statements off the cuff, unscripted about other topics.

She will have cheesy memorized attacks and elementary platitudes that the uninformed voter will be wowed with.

Unfortunately, Vance will be a better classic style debater. And no one is swayed by the VP debate.

Ultimately everyone answers to a God. There is my and fellow Christian's belief of who God is. Then of course there are many other religions and who/what they believe God is. Finally you have agnostics/atheists who at least the latter believes there is no God. Instead they lean to their own understanding and by doing so become their own God.

For some reason, and I think it's quite arrogant, those who do this seem to think their opinions are more valid since they're now God.

NPR was interviewing the head of the congressional progressive caucus. She seems to think that Harris will be hammering on housing, childcare, and Medicare in addition to shifting the democrats position on Israel to be more pro Palestine.

If true, this isn’t going to be the border security, anti crime approach that @Saul was hoping for.

Abortion is such a divisive issue, with even those in the “right to choose” camp having significant disagreements among themselves and both pro and anti are at such odds any legal conclusion will satisfy no one. I believe that the current “state’s rights“ situation is appropriate, however, to maintain that, the USSC must remain conservative and the only way to insure that is to vote R no matter your opinion on Donald’s personality. The economy was good, no wars was great, however, the most important things he accomplished, in my opinion, were his appointments to the USSC. The impact will last for decades. Look beyond your like or dislike, you’re not marrying the man, this is not a personality contest, examine what is best for this country and vote accordingly.

It's truly a sad indicator of how far this country has fallen when, voters, and donors, would throw their support behind a radical socialist Marxist, like Scamala Harris, because .....well ....its .....a (D)
Listening to this woman speak, its painfully obvious that she's a complete and utter moron.
I truly pray that Trump mops the floor with this woman.

Harris is definitely moving away from supporting Israel. She will be supporting Hamas and Hezbola They need the Dearborn Mi vote to stand any chance at Michigan.

They sent low level staffers to meet BB and his wife at the airport yesterday. They couldn’t be seen supporting him.
