I doubt if your in that income level. I think there was 700 people who would have to pay. I've sold a mutual fund for a loss invested in a similar fund . The market went up but got to take the capital loss on the first fund.
Instead of wasting it on that sewer sludge, why don't those freaks give it to us veterans who actually did something for this country?I am contemplating re-entering the country as an illegal immigrant separated from a rented child--4ooK would pay for a lot of safari action. Anyone (particularly died in the wool dems) willing to stand up and cheer for 400K payments to illegal immigrants?
They are out to destroy the middle class and the dollar. The great reset. The sad thing is a huge number of people are aiding and enabling them. I can't get my head around anyone suggesting or supporting $450,000 for someone who came here illegally when the average worker in the USA doesn't even have a retirement fund let alone a net worth of $450,000. Our government is corrupt and broken and the whole world knows it and is a much more dangerous place because of it.
This also perpetuates the "myth of America" to people who want to go there illegally. A lot of people, from low and middle income countries, are delusional when it comes to how life in America is. They literally seem to think that everyone in the US lives like a millionaire. By telling them that you can get 450K ( a huge sum of $$$ pretty much anywhere in the world including in America) it will just open the floodgates. As it plays into their mythical narrative of everyone in the US being a millionaire and that $$$ grows on trees here. What they do not realize is that the median net-worth for a US household is around 100K. Quite a ways away from 450K.
Yet i think what a lot of these people don't realize is that if you live in a middle income country, like Mexico. and you make the median salary there- if you immigrate to America your quality of life will not improve all that much. Lets assume, which is a big if, that when they come to America they earn the median American salary. Yes they are paid in America maybe 3-4x higher than what they made in Mexico but the cost of living in America is also more expensive. So you won't exactly have all that much more in America. Especially if in your home country you have your own house/apartment and don't pay rent or a mortgage.
But if you are an unskilled general laborer in Mexico and you come to America you are not likely to become an American millionaire. Well unless the US government gives you 450K...
Eh, I would sleep through a climate summit as well. The only time I will give the codger a pass.
