Saw that earlier, made me chuckle. For those of you who do not periodically peruse the left wing kook sites, the prevailing theory is Trump staged this.
About as loony tunes as the Secret Service did it.

Not true. I do think there was a lag time to give him the order to shoot. Mostly because things were so messed up they probably were not certain if the assassin was possibly law enforcement. Look pretty bad that a sniper shot another law enforcement officerTrue or not? But I wouldn’t be surprised.

Just saw that……. Who knows.Holy shite, Fox just said they have a report a local LEO climbed the ladder, saw the shooter and then went back down the ladder. The shooting started after that happened.
Thanks!Sorta depends..
You’ll find most competent snipers are very fit.. a low heart rate is super helpful, and being able to do some of the tasks required takes a certain amount of strength and endurance (it’s not all sitting on roof tops with rifles mounted in tripods… on one particular job back in the day for example I low crawled several hundred meters dragging about 30lbs of gear through a mud filled drainage ditch to get to a position to provide overwatch for a team… and had to get there pretty quickly, while remaining unobserved, and still have enough gas left in the tank to do the job for the next couple of hours waiting for the team to approach on a raid)…
But some of the best shooters I worked with over the years were pretty average sized guys… one in particular was a little on the small size even.. just built like a 10 penny nail wrapped in wire… strong as a bear.. and incredibly fit overall…
In my “fit” days I was pushing about 240lbs at 6’4”… which was honestly a little oversized… I looked more like a breacher (my original job on a tactical team) than anything else… (the guy that swings the 30lb ram and/or carries the 40lb quickie saw, etc etc)…
There are always exceptions.. but a significant number of the guys that move toward tactical teams their in law enforcement careers are often former military, and an even larger percentage are definitely former athletes of some sort… you kinda have to enjoy the physicality of the job, and be accustomed to working through injuries, etc… or you won’t last long on any tactical team worth being on…

Fox says it’s been confirmed. Same level of incompetence as Uvalde. He could have ended it right there.I hope to God that is either bad information or bad reporting..
If that’s accurate, holy shit, that may be on par with the Uvalde ISD chief refusing to let officers take down the active shooter… or worse..
This matches what he state police said last night that their officers were investing a report of suspicious activity. He just stoped talking after the common and didn't finish the sentence.I hope to God that is either bad information or bad reporting..

While I was ADC of the 4th Infantry Division, I spent quite a bit of time around our unit sniper teams. I enjoy shooting. Other than meeting height weight standards, they came in all shapes and sizes, but with great ability to control heart and breath rate.I have been around and know four law enforcement swat team snipers. Two of them were college athletes and all of them were high school athletes. They are all in top physical shape and work out with weights regularly. They are built like Dave @mdwest and a couple of them are almost as tall as Dave.
These snipers body shape and arms don't bear any resemblance to the snipers I know. Are these guys an anomaly or is it the snipers I know. Some of you know much more about this than me, thanks.

Craziness on both sides of the aisle. God forbid anyone with a modicum of sense would try a little introspection.Saw that earlier, made me chuckle.

If you should ever meet any of the guys in OD-D they generally look the antithesis of a movie character "operator." They are simply lethal.
So which statement makes you more guilty of a crime?"Time to put Trump in a bullseye." WOW!!! Now that is a loaded statement. One could draw some very interesting theories or conclusions from that.
According to Fox News it’s been verified that it did happen.
Why no sniper team on that building where the shooter was? Why no patrol in the AGR area? Pretty obvious that's where he came from. Very poor planning and I'm just a layman. And what is off to the right of the seating area? So many big holes that even I can see.Assuming this is an accurate photo and locations, it's hard to believe that law enforcement didn't have someone on the higher roof top to the left of the suspected gunman's location.
