I have interacted with Trump many times over the years, I have never seen in him body armor. The only POTUS I have seen wearing armor was GWB back in the early days post 9/11. I've never seen a candidate in it.

I spent a good bit of time around GWB around the 2005-2007 time frame… was in his presence for at least a few hours at a time 3-4 times a year.. by then he wasn’t wearing any armor from what I could tell…

One of his former close protection team members was the USSS liaison to my protective team… he always advised GWB was a “good” protectee in terms of listening to his PSO, taking a lot of his guidance, and working with his detail to make things as easy on them as possible (while still being able to do his job)…

My guy was a bit more difficult lol… but thankfully a good bit lower profile too…

The idea of a grand conspiracy seems highly unlikely to me. Why would you go to all that effort to arrange a situation, only to turn the job over to an extremely amateur asset with a less-than-ideal tool for the job? Doesn't make sense.

I get that we and our ARs are capable of 140 yard potshots, but the stakes would have been much higher in that situation.

My question is how could anyone not invited to the venue get to within 150 yds without security noticing? Especially with outbuildings so close. That is a prime recipe for disaster. Seems like a major breakdown in security. Should have been LEO or someone out to at least 1/4 mile in a full perimeter defensive. Bet they revise tactics after this.

The worst stories I ever heard were all about John Kerry, the way he treated those guys were insanely bad and outright disrespectful. I have never even met the guy, but I believe them.

GWB is a genuinely nice man, and treated people in this orbit very well. He took me in his political circle when I was just some dipshit college kid. I had no business at all being in that spot, but it changed my life and it damn sure change the course of my professional career.

I don't know, there are others on here that have also been part these types of events, they are all saying the same thing. I have no idea how that could happen.

I will say though, I didn't think some nut could jump the fence at the WH and walk in an open door. I never thought someone could force their way past an SS agent in the WH and manage to not get caught for a couple minutes, but that happened also.

The Clintons treated their detail pretty badly as well.

Rest well, good Sir; and prayers for his family.

Custom body armor, that does not look like body armor.

The worst stories I heard were Al and Tipper Gore stories followed closely by Hillary stories… every person I ever met that worked any of those three people had exactly zero positive to say about any of them… genuinely heinous humans.. disrespectful, and true intentional asshole behavior on display pretty much at all times with their assigned agents…

Like or hate their politics, I think most of the people that worked in senior cabinet and senior leadership positions for bush were good humans… there were some exceptions.. but for example I was around Condoleeza Rice and Colin Powell on several occasions.. both in public and private settings.. as well as Peter Pace and a few others… all of them displayed kindness, courtesy, and professionalism at all times whenever I was around them.. and when talking with and working with their respective details, I can’t recall a single agent ever saying anything negative about any of them… other than they all kept crazy hours and worked exceptionally long days routinely lol…

Always nice to hear good things about such influential people.

I am not totally familiar with the different levels of bullet stopping capabilities for kevlar or body armor.
Some years ago, I hand built this Judge & witness bench for a courtroom in Sierra Vista.
Behind the mdf veneered panels there is 1/2" fiberglass resin panels that are rated to stop high power handgun bullets up to .44mag.
The architectural specs were very specific. Each joint abutment had to have a 12" wide fiberglass resin panel laminated to the back of the seam.
In the event of a shooter making it into the courtroom, the Judge would just have to duck down, and would have a relatively safe barrier.
Sorry for the bad photos. Photo of a photo.

Maybe this has been discussed but who took this picture of the assassin before he was taken out. I really can’t believe all of this including the snipers who obviously are trying to identify the threat didn’t communicate and get the Trump down before shots were fired. View attachment 619632
It’s not a picture from the rally. Just a random picture of the kid.

I dont believe for one minute that this was some rogue misfit.
Social media is littered with these radical misfit malcontents. It wouldn't take much for the deep state to coerce one into being a useful idiot, without leaving anything that could be traceable.
We are not dealing with stupid people.
Oh come now. The rifle was bought by the kid’s dad and he’s just a misfit. Don’t go off the rails. He’s just some Jackwagon looking for his 15 minutes of fame and upset nobody sat with him at lunch in the school cafeteria. Could have been a school shooter but out of high school already. Mental illness.

A friend of mine is insisting that Trump was wearing a vest, based on someone that did a frame x frame breakdown of the shooting.
I dont know?

They are saying the rifle was purchased by his father, and that explosives were found in the car.

Explosives: media speak for a couple bottls of Varget.
Looking at the afterwards video, the three female SS looked like the mouseketeers/Keystone cops/Three Stooges. Knowing Trump's affinity for the fair sex, I wonder if he picked them to be on his detail.
Other video shows the bullet coming from behind and exiting the front of his ear.

If they had no idea who he was they wouldn’t know where to look?
They run it through a database to see if he’s been arrested before and fingerprints as well.

I wouldn't scoff. We all have varying degrees of opinion, but none of us truly know, or ever will, what is actually going on behind the scenes within
the shadow government.

Morning Rob, Any feeling for how the 300 H&H shoots? How's the barrel condition?

Hello. I see you hunted with Sampie recently. If you don't mind me asking, where did you hunt with him? Zim or SA? And was it with a bow? What did you hunt?

I am possibly going to book with him soon.
Currently doing a load development on a .404 Jeffrey... it's always surprising to load .423 caliber bullets into a .404 caliber rifle. But we love it when we get 400 Gr North Fork SS bullets to 2300 FPS, those should hammer down on buffalo. Next up are the Cutting Edge solids and then Raptors... load 200 rounds of ammo for the customer and on to the next gun!
