Watching Fox News as they talk to various folks with varying levels of expertise and experience... someone with Israel - I didn't catch who - said this was their Pearl Harbor.

This is anything but a nothing burger. Hamas has inflicted hundreds, perhaps thousands of civilian casualties. This has never happened before in Israel - not even during the '48 war when nearly every citizen was soldier. The seizing of dozens of hostages, civilian and military, is another new element in this conflict. Finally, the brutality of Hamas will have be answered in kind.

Here they are desecrating the body of a young female Israeli soldier. Yet another being hauled away to captivity or perhaps worse.

Or perhaps a roadway littered with dead Israeli civilians.

And by the way, MSNBC has taken the side of Hamas, and all of this is the fault of Benjamin Netanyahu.

Another concern is that Hezbollah will take advantage of the situation and attack out of Lebanon.

With proper leadership, I suspect we can look every direction necessary.... but with the current ineptitude, it is definitely a concern. Especially with the President bought and paid for by China..

You have an "island" of a few million Jews who are on pretty bad terms with almost all of their Arabic neighbors, and the wider Islamic world. The only way I see Israel surviving is if they able to workout a 2 state solution with the Palestinians...

I think you are seriously underestimating the resolve of the Israelis.

Theres 300+ million arabs and not even 10 million Israelis. Most Arabs have a pretty high birthrate, Israelis, with the exception of the ultra-orthodox Hasidics, don't have high birth rates. The numbers game is not on the Israeli's side. This vaguely reminiscent of the fate of the Crusader states/kingdoms.
