Don't think I have ever seen Grassley out over his skis. This is getting interesting.

"Sen. Chuck Grassley said Monday that the Burisma executive who allegedly paid Joe Biden and Hunter Biden kept 17 audio recordings of his conversations with them as an "insurance policy," citing the FBI FD-1023 form that the bureau briefed congressional lawmakers on."

I saw that too, has 17 recordings for insurance. When you deal with the Bidens insurance is needed. Like Joey likes to say, "nobody f***s with a Biden".
The guy is a ringworm.

Wonder if Christopher Heinz, John Kerry's stepson will be next since Hunter Biden, Devon Archer and Christopher Heinz were partners in companies related to Rosemont Capital and did business with foreign companies.

Grassley is giving Wray enough rope to destroy the FBI, and Wray is reaching for more at every turn.

Initially, Wray acted like he didn't know if the FBI had the 1023 or if one was even made. Grassley told Wray he had a copy.

Wray acted like he couldn't provide it even though it was not classified. Grassley and Comer decided to hold Wray in contempt and Wray provided a heavily redacted copy.

Grassley told Wray he had a copy of the 1023 and Wray redacted the part about the 17 audio recordings any way. Grassley has now told us about the 17 audio recordings. Devon Archer has now been subpoenaed.

Wonder what else Grassley knows that Wray doesn't know he knows. Wonder if Grassley actually has the tapes from the whistleblower. Wonder how much Wray is squirming trying to figure out how much Grassley knows.

Inquiring minds..........

Supported Trump both times but have grown tired of his shtick. I will primary for Desantis and see how it goes.

HH

I too will go for Desantis because we must win this time around. I think Trump would support loyal to him candidates to the detriment of the goal of winning.
I think he has been mistreated but we need fresh , younger candidates who are more capable of attracting new voters rather than the hard right . America is ready for Desantis!

I said he 'tried", he made it known that was what he wanted to do. Did he succeed? Only partially and mostly what it got him was 6 years of persecution and here we are today.
He did do some good as you yourself have previously stated Joe.
The country was in a better place when Trump was president, that is undeniable.
Of course he did some good. But that scale is heavily weighted on the other side.

I just don't believe he is in reality much different than most other politicians. In this instance, my question was his rhetoric about the swamp. Name me anything he did, even attempted to do, about "draining the swamp."

I contend the rhetoric was just that, demagoguery to motivate - even manipulate - his base. I think what I find most offensive is how blatantly he does it. It was this same self-indulgence that put hundreds of people at risk or behind bars following his call to action on January 6.

I think what is undeniable to me is that this country would be in a better place right now had any other Republican contender won the nomination in 2016. I am done with him.

We will have to agree to disagree. I am a good example of what I think happened to his support. I am more conservative than most, but I can no longer support his boorish behavior. I voted against him in two primaries and for him in two general elections. I will not cast a vote for him again. I believe that I am representative of many.

The National Archives did start a FL office.
Accidentally ran across this piece that I remembered reading, but couldn't find a couple days ago. National Archives offered no assistance to Trump in establishing a location to move the documents, nor did they start a Florida office. Trump was left with moving the boxes to Mar a lago.

Part of letter from Parlatore to "Gang of Eight" in April.

When President Trump left office, there was little time to prepare for the outgoing transition from the presidency. Unlike his three predecessors, each of whom had over four years to prepare for their departure upon completion of their second term, President Trump had a much shorter time to wind up his administration. White House staffers and General Service Administration (“GSA”) employees quickly packed everything into boxes and shipped them to Florida. This was a stark change from the standard preparations made by GSA and National Archives and Records Administration (“NARA”) for prior administrations. As NARA acknowledged in a Press Statement it issued on October 11,2022:T

NARA unfortunately has become overtly political and declined to provide archival assistance to President Trump’s transition team.

PS: In an earlier post I mentioned Archives when I meant GSA came to the White House to work with the boxes.

Could the "Nuclear war plans" bantered about in Trump's possession actually be the transition letter from Obama to Trump dealing with North Korean nuclear weapons along with the multiple letters between Trump and Kim Jong Un that also discus nuclear weapons. This thought has been going around the internet since the Mar a lago raid and corresponding search warrant.

Sundance has researched and documented this line of thought fairly well. With SCO/DOJ fighting Judge Cannon and a Special Master over reviewing the documents involved in the raid. Certainly interesting to ponder.

This is a longer than normal read but worth it if interested in the subject matter.

Now a statement from NARA.

"NARA did send staff members to the White House in the final weeks of the Trump Administration to assist with the move of the physical records (including artifacts), which was similar to the assistance that NARA had provided to the White House during the three previous Presidential transitions."

Statement from Parlatore.

Whether NARA’s departure from routine pack-out procedures for President Trump was intentional or a product of the compressed timeline, it did not take custody of the documents and this made necessary the transfer of boxes of documents to President Trump’s heavily secured home at Mar-a-Lago. To be clear, had NARA offered President Trump the same assistance that it had provided to all previous Presidents, he would have accepted the offer and there would have been no reason to transfer the documents toMar-a-Lago.

Looks like conflicting info. Perhaps the truth will come out in a trial.

In your face everyday! Yet Trump is the problem? Who gets the Repub nomination is the problem? Trump's mouth is the problem? Trump is the problem my ass! Here it is, in your face everyday!
And if it's not pride yadayada, it's white supremacy yadayada, if not that it's domestic terrorism, if not that it's climate crap science, if not that is prepping for the next pandemic and how controls of the population will be implemented for national security and public safety, if not that it's another commie fronted play from the book of plays designed to divide and tear down the country. But it's Trump don't you know!

Hi Jon,
I saw your post for the .500 NE cases. Are these all brass or are they nickel plated? Hard for me to tell... sorry.
Thanks,
