Good Gun Deals This Week

Years back I came up with a new rule once the safe is full I have to get rid of a gun to purchase another. So I solved that problem by buying another safe!

I looked at that one yesterday and certainly agree. The only problem that I saw was availability of brass but the price is right. Could be a fun project gun!
I thought so as well. Re-blue and re-stock it. Leave it open sighted and load some Woodleigh 400s to just shy of 2150 fps and you’re good to go. Brass availability, as you note, and finding the Woodleighs would be a problem though

I only wonder what percentage of readers here have done the same thing. My 1 safe turned to 2 then 3. I’d bet over half of the people posting here have added at least a second safe.

Yeah....Now I'm looking to put another safe at my kids house 'cause the room here doesn't have space available for another. And then I don't have to haul so many back and forth. Win! win!

In fairness, safes do tend to shrink over time, and become unable to hold one's collection. Sort of like the concept of "hangar shrinkage."

Do as I did, rather than keep buying and installing safes, get rid of them all. I turned a room into my vault. Now tons of room for additions without filling safes. Sure would be easier to fill living in US though, with all the "wish I could add that" posted on here. Up here in Trudope world private gun ownership makes him scared shitless so his answer is outlaw, confiscate and take.

My intent as well. Thinking a bit like the Heineken commercial:

Why limit oneself to one vault with plenty of rifles crammed inside, when I could just have a walk in vault :)

Okay, for something quite different then, what are your thoughts about this one:

Ruger No1 in 270 Win, no rings or scope though, looks to be in great condition, for 600€

you can find it here, there are a few other No1's (a 300WinMag for 520€?) as well as quite a few lever guns on the page. I'm thinking of going to the store and having an inspection in person, to see what else is there. But if the resident experts here find no fault with this, I'm happy to pick up this Ruger No1.

thanks!

V.

The ruger 375 is a CRF RMS action. The bolt and extractor have been jeweled. It has been restocked in a european hogs back styled stock. It has also been rebarreled as it is missing the barrel band sling mount and no rear sling mount. Scope bases are european style EAW quick pivot mount, they are a little high. But a 375 is not a big kicker so if you get scoped you either crawled the stock or weren't holding the rifle properly. Being someone with a LONG LOP (Most of my scopes look like that) it is setup for someone with a longer than the normal 13 3/4 factory offerings. The front recoil cross bolt would most likely be for a forward extra recoil lug or the recoil management used on RMS's 375 and larger. For the work done it is a fair price. But not for everyone. The only person that has to like it is the new owner.

Exactly! I decided there was no point in wasting any more effort to make that point. Seemed rather obvious to me.

The hogs back stock is really the only detracting feature of this rifle to my eye. But to each their own.

thanks @AZDAVE & @Aaron N!
I believe that I'll be leaving this rifle for someone else to treasure :)

What a great way to kick off our 2025 hunting season in South Africa.

This beautiful Impala ram was taken at just over 300 yards, took a few steps and toppled over.

We are looking forward to the next week and a half of hunting with our first client of the year.

Do you have any more copies of African Dangerous Game Cartridges, Author: Pierre van der Walt ? I'm looking for one. Thanks for any information, John buzzardhilllabs@hotmail.com
NRA benefactor, areas hunted, add congo, Mozambique3, Zambia2
Out of all the different color variations of Impala the black Impala just stands out with its beautiful pitch black hide.

Impala is one of the animals you will see all over Africa.
You can see them in herds of a 100 plus together.

This excellent ram was taken with one of our previous client this past season.
