Africa oh yes was once there with my first 375 h&h CZ550. .... She got scratched in some thorns ...... won't be going back there ...... my guns are too good for Africa with the dust .....sun and sand ........ dear god why do airlines not let you book a seat for your double rifle... too vulgar to trust mere airline staff with one of my ladies .....too difficult to decide which one to take ...........off to the pawn shop .....
I will actually expand on the above post ......
The year is 2020 .....
The bars on the window are actually welded gun barrels that I have shot out ...would you believe you can wear out a 375 416 505 gibbs barrel ?
I now work from home on the intranet as 8 hrs work and 2 hrs commute is too long to be away from my ladies. The dehumidifier kicks in in harmony with the air con. Stable temp and humidity are the key to keeping the ladies happy.
No one calls ...people are sweaty breathing their humidity around and disturbing the ladies.
I cannot decide on how the rifles should be racked ...being Tuesday I am back my manufacturer and caliber by Friday I will re arrange then solely by caliber again.
The postman drops the mail again ....another letter from weatherby's lawyers ..... cease and disist. ... I am only trying to help their r&d department. ... a 700 NE necked to 505.gibbs that rifle must be made and I want one .......
Remington has written to me stating that the 458 RUM and the 505 RUM ideas I have had will not be going into producton ..........
Good news paycheck arrived I can retrieve my reloading gear from the pawn shop ...... Well needed cash quickly .....not everyday your get an offer of 500 h&h 400 brass and 500 h&h 465 for $5.00 each.
A bargin and only another 11 years of saving and I will have a bolt gun on either 400 or 465.
Range time has to be planned weather checks and route to the range planned ....don't want moisture or a rear end crash to happen.

"Finest collection of English double rifles known to man .....and a .460 Weatherby."
This is the equivalent of parking a metal flake root beer colored tricycle, with Kermit The Frog stickers on it and blinking lights in the spokes, smack among Jay Lenno's antique car and motorcycle collection.

Hi I have read through the above and thought I'd join....
My name is Jaco and I'm a big bore addict.
I started with a CZ 375 H&H which was my gateway calibre to my 460 Weatherby custom.
This took me...and I invested in a 500 NE in a Sabatti, which I traded, and then purchased a 470 NE in a over under Franz Sodia Ferlach, Austria.
After prolonged deliberation I have entered into discussions with my dearfriend Jason van Aarde and have ordered a custom 550 Magnum built by CZ.
I just want to mention that I have no plans to stop and definitely not on the road to recovery...
My best always
It seems like a .375 is to blame for most of our problems. As soon as you have one, you end up jumping to the more addictive "drugs" starting with the numbers four and five.
