Best Looking Safari Shirt?

For short sleeve I use Tag, however I do wish they could learn how to sew on buttons!
Fascinating! I went to see TAG at their SCI booth two weeks ago and told them essentially: "love your clothes, have several sets of shorts, shirts and pants, great fit, great cotton, etc. Would be perfect if all the seams and buttons were not constantly falling apart and my wife did not have to re-sew each garment one at a time. Not asking for anything, just sharing the feedback with you." Sadly, they were a bit defensive: never happened, never heard a customer ever complain about this, etc. etc. Glad to see WAB, that I am not the only one...

I have shifted to wearing 511 pants and shirts. They have a line called TacLite that offers great fit and extremely abrasion resistant yet very light 65% polyester / 35% cotton ripstop fabric in 5 different shades of brown and green that are perfect for hunting. Their Fast-Tac Urban Pants are also the most comfortable and durable yet elegant-casual pants I have owned in decades. I have been wearing nothing but them for the last 2 years or so, which is what decided me to look at them for hunting clothes.

Ya that OP shirt is a bit much..lol. I have tag safari and Cabela’s shirts. They do the job and I look marvelous! :ROFLMAO:

I like the one I got free at my last hunt in RSA with the outfitters name and logo embroidered on the chest. I wear it to all political and religious functions, funerals, weddings, family reunions and PETA rallies.
I do the same thing with my black & gold NRA and AfricaHunting.Com caps.

My wife and I are big fans of Boyt Harness. Their stuff is extremely well made; well designed with lots of pockets - very tough. The buttons are really sewn on with heavy thread. I mention that because that's an area that I find manufacturers really cut corners. We got their short and long sleeve safari jackets.

Sorry I didn't see to start!

Jealousy.....

I have to admit, I was a little taken aback when we met in Bulawayo, but the look seems to work for you...

I have Avedon Colby shirts ,pants and shorts .. I believe their products are of excellent quality and workmanship.. Their linen shirts are my favorite..
I also have Harkila and Blazer shirts ..
I wear all of them daily since I am in the field 9 months out of 12’.. both companies have great products for outdoor wear .. But for actual hunting I wear only beretta shirts with removable silicon pad .. they are great looking ,very comfortable and excellent quality shirts ..
I have to emphasize that I am strictly talking about shirts.. pants ,overcoats and jackets are different story .. Harkila has some excellent hunting and outdoor products..
as for the rigby shirt .. No comment ..just because I love my rigby rifle :-)))

I heard that several PH`s advice the hunters to not use clothing in Kaki colour,
They say that the Green and brown colour blend is perfect and the kaki colour shine like hvite in the bush, and white is the signal of danger in the world of animal.
Camoclothing is OK in those countrys that allows camoclothing.
Shurt should be a size bigger tha you normally use, because of the movement .

I'll be the first to admit I do not care much for fashion, however I like a nice safari shirt. My favorite is the Rigby one shown here, what is yours?

not trying to be critical
but this shirt is RIDICULOUS , and probably the price of a trophy animal you could shoot on safari
way too many pockets and shiny buttons and pads and...and...and:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

just a good old khaki or olive or camo t shirt or plain cotton shirt and you are good to go

I spend a lot of money on cold weather gear. But very little for when it's hot. And have given little consideration at this point for when I go on my first safari. I'll have to start thinking this over.
But for now this is what I wore on my last hot weather foray.

For the ladies and others, this Yves Saint Laurent version:

I like the discontinued Cableas safari shirts the best, which can be found on ebay. For hot weather I use Magellan fishing shirts that can be found at Academy. Carhartt pants for everything. When I plan to go hunting, whether Africa, MX, or wherever, how I look occupies less than 1% of things I care about.

I wore the various green shades of shirt by TAG Safari on my hunt. I don't know that they are the best looking, but they were comfortable and I felt "in character" while wearing them. My TAG Safari coat is my favorite coat to wear.

Hi Jay,

Hope you're well.

I'm headed your way in January.

Attending SHOT Show has been a long time bucket list item for me.

Finally made it happen and I'm headed to Vegas.

I know you're some distance from Vegas - but would be keen to catch up if it works out.

Have a good one.

Mark
