From experience, I would stick with the model 70. All left hand 375s will be costly so get the best one for the money. Winchester made both the Super Express and Safari express in 375 H&H in left hand. Either model in good shape will run you at least 2200.00 regardless just buy the Winchester...

My favorite hunting knife is my custom Shaun Bruwer loveless dropped hunter with desert ironwork handle and stingray leather sheath.

If you’re considering a custom knife, I’ve found the best knives for the money are the South African makers. They tend to use good stainless steels with natural handle materials including some African bone/horn. My favorite of these is Shaun Bruwer. If you message me, I could send you some pictures.

I agree. The load and bullet will do the trick but pick an outfitter that will put in the time to get you close. I shot my Nilgai offhand in an oak motte at 40 yards.

For any 8mm wildcats, I would look at Colonel Charles Askins writings. He had a “thing” to say the least about 8mm wildcats and used many of them in Africa.

This rifle is sold. Now on to re-stocking my left hand model 70 super express.

7mm PRC would work well for most plains game. If your handloading, I would stick with the tougher monolithic or bonded core bullets. If buying factory ammo, look at the Hornady Outfitter line with the CX bullets. I would stay away from ELD-X or ELD-M bullets for anything bigger than whitetail.

Well I hate to yank everyone around on this but I’ve decided I will sell this rifle but I would like to sell it with the Zeiss conquest V4 3-12 scope for 4300.00. The length of pull is 13.75 inches and it fits and points like a nice shotgun.
