To be fair, nothing to brag about.... It was a feral dog that was chasing (and killing) deers.... 40 m shot... impressive blood trail for such a little animal (Grim Reaper broadhead) First year hunting with the Easton Axis...using FMJ before. They will go to Africa with me in august!

    Minimum fps for plains game

Don't worry about speed, you need a heavy arrow, a sharp broadhead and a good shot placement. My trad bow send a 500 grains arrow at an impresive 160 fps :p...and it kills speed is overrated

    Heavy arrow help

Double lunger , you don't need grizzly sticks to hunt Gemsbok, Kudu and Zebra Just use a heavier arrow with your bow, I think something in the 500 grains range For plains game I'm using 480 grains of a 70 pounds bow , and the grizzly sticks (950) for my cape buffalo in a 80 pounder

    Cape Buffalo bow hunt questions

Try an arrow with total weigth over 900 grains, I think in FMJ DG 300 spine and a big COC broadhead (I like VPAs). I´ve killed some feral bulls (i mean cattle... weight about 800 kg...yes ....i know that they are not Cape buffalos!!) using an Elite Impulse 34, 80#, 28,5 DL with a 680 grains...
