My friend and I are booked to hunt in Namibia in May 2017. The flights we were thinking about are , Lufthansa/Air Canada to Frankfurt then Air Namibia direct o Windhoek. Has anyone here done this trip ? What do you do for the 10 hour layover in Frankfurt? How far ahead do you book your flights...

We booked our 2017 hunt with Jan Oelofse at the African Hunting Events Show in Calgary last month. We had it narrowed down to a couple of outfitters that we had spent extensive time researching. What sealed the deal for us was the great show special they were offering so we booked on the spot.

Enysse , it is one of the benefits of living in Canada. I wonder why they can't be imported to the US ? Annette at Oelofse safaris said they cull some black-faced Impala every year!

I will have to take a notebook with me so I don't forget anything important. We are thinking of flying from Calgary to Frankfurt Germany then to Windhoek. Total travel time of about 32 hours, so lots of uncomfortable sitting!

That's too bad about the fog @BRICKBURN . Those elk are pretty educated now for sure. I know a couple of guys that had the first bull hunt and wasted a P 12 on it and were very pissed at all the " special rights Canadians " shooting everything that moved and wrecking other people's hunts!
