Yes....they are in Calgary too!

It is also very sad as to how quickly, people, and corporations, can cave into political correctness.

How true the uninformed can be lead anywhere...

Dis-Organizer Michael Donovan inadvertently exposed one of their primary concerns/issues with big game hunting in Southern Africa - CLASS WARFARE.

Quote: "Basically these are wealthy fly-in hunters, going to Africa, shooting an animal, cutting its head off, bringing it back to North America and sticking it on the wall," Donovan said.

I have noticed that rabid anti-hunters exhibit three levels of hate when it comes to the hunting of iconic big game animals in Southern Africa. For example: If Patel Patel, a small business owner from Asia, shoots a lion, the anti's behave as though he committed manslaughter. If Billy Bob, a rich, white, oil man from East Texas, shoots a lion, the anti's behave as though he committed murder. If Betty Jo, Billy Bob's trophy wife, shoots a lion, the anti's behave as though she committed capital murder. As always, just my opinion.

Sounds like the antis want to bring it to the next level, going to government and having trophy shipments banned. Because the antis tell the public its all about putting a head on the wall.

The fact the CBC followed this "story" across the country and at the final event the ANTI's managed to garner this pathetic showing. Count them, 25 bored people who wanted to stand beside an industrial road for a weekend.
At least at this show they could not block the entrance way.

The picture tells it all.

The York Regional Police could learn a thing or two from the Calgary Police about allowing protesters to impede movement on private property!

Generally the police here are very good. They kept the protesters on the other side of the street, which is a good idea if only to minimize the chances of physical confrontation. Funny that the York police think it's a good idea to get protesters and "protestees" face to face (even if only for two minutes!).

Glad the CPS used good sense.

Wish I could have gone to the show. At least I got to be outside watching hunting dogs all weekend in the rain

I see many of those 25 protesters wearing leather boots and shoes. Do these people know where leather comes from? They should visit a cattle slaughterhouse sometime, and they might realize trophy hunting is not such a bad thing.

It was a pathetic half hearted effort. When we came out of the show at 1 30 pm they were all gone!

I see from reading the on-line comments, Canada has too many "morally superior" folks who want to impose their belief and value system on everyone else. Glad to see, that its not just here in the USA.

I will have to tell my wife where rich, because we can afford a airline ticket.

Hi Lance, Hope you well. I collect Mauser rifles and they are very much part of my cultural history in Africa. Would you consider selling the rifle now a year on ? I'd like to place it in my collection of Mauser rifles. Many thx

I saw where you hunted elephant with backcountry safaris in Zimbabwe.
Was looking to book an elephant hunt and wanted to know how your hunt went
and if you would recommend them.

Thanks
Mike
hi, do you know about lions hunters, leopard hunters, and crocodiles hunters of years 1930s-1950s
I'm new to Africa Hunting. I would like to purchase a Heym 450-400 double rifle. I'm left-handed but would prefer a non-canted gun. Is anyone in the community considering parting with theirs?
