Would you like a Cigar?

Think I’ll go with “AVE MARIA DARK KNIGHT “. Sounds about right.

Funny you say that, my wife and I were sick in Feb before all this crap. I was in bed for 4-5 days, out without any lick of energy. When we went to see our doc, she was dressed up like if she was going to a chemical warfare, and wouldn't get close to us, just to take our vitals. I think she knew something before everyone in the country knew. Based on everything I've read on it, I believe wife and I had it. After I got better, it took me almost 3-4 weeks for a cigar to taste good.
I've been fortunate in easy recoveries from the flu. 2-3 days, and I'm usually good. Chest colds really kick my butt for some reason.
If I have had Covid, I didn't know it, or have bad symptoms. A few months back, there was a couple days when my chest was really tight, and breathing was a little labored? I thought maybe it was hypertension or something?

Love that ashtray! Can't go wrong with an Ave Maria.

The blood cigar. Went to grab a stick out of my cigar jar. The lid and seal broke, and I cut my damn finger, and was bleeding like the proverbial stuck pig. Never a band-aid around when you need one.
I knew it was going to be a bad day when a powerline snapped at 4:30 this morning, while getting ready for work.

Sorry to hear about the cigar related injury. Hope you self medicated with a nice maduro!

I've got an interesting order coming in from Cigars Daily out of Phoenix. A little holiday gift for myself.
I'll fill you in when I receive it.

Ugh, I have not smoked since Sun. I'm feeling a bit better, but I don't want to over do it, it's 34 degrees right now. So, I'll have to wait a few more days to feel 100% before lighting one up. Or maybe I should just say f*ck it, and light one up. LOL!!!!!

Maybe you can burn a cheap stick just to have one, and not worry about taste. Cigars are not that enjoyable when we feel like roadkill.

Sounds like time for a Petite Corona or a Robusto Jr. Not too much, but still feels like s big smoke!

I hear you guys, but I think I'll toughen up, be a big boy and wait another day just to be on the safe side. LOL!!!!!! Truthfully, I'm sure my wife will try to kick my butt if went out to smoke. LMAO!!!!!! I took a lot of convincing for her to stop b*tcing about me going out to hunt this evening. LOL

I find in weather like that the truck is a great place to burn one with the heater blasting. When my wife ask where I have been, I just look at her with those eyes like a dog that just chewed up the paper. Who? Me?

Price doesnt mean a thing to me. I was a smoker till I had my first daughter 63 years ago and decided to stop for her sake.
My favorite Cigar was the Rum Soaked Crooks.....but they only cost a nickle apiece. I loved Rum and Maple in my pipe. But its not the same formula anymore. The factory said they changed it because that was what people wanted. I didnt! At 84 years of age I have been thinking I no longer have anything to loose. My wife died of COVID after a marriage of 65 years and my daughters are grown. Already had 5 different cancers due to my stint in the Pacific testing atom bombs in 1958, all cured, so why not.

If you loved it before, I think you will love it again. So sorry to hear about the loss of your wife. Tough year.

I had to quit drinking 23 years ago(ie alcoholic), but best decision I ever made. I do joke with my wife when I turn 80, I may have to imbibe just a little. That would be 43 years of sobriety. Then again, maybe not.

My father smoked cigars and pipes until he had a major surgery in the 60’s, and couldn’t smoke in the hospital. From then through the remainder of his life, until age 84, he chewed a cigar, never lighting one again. Maybe chewing cigars is a compromise!

Sorry to hear about your wife. That has to be rough. Wish you the very best.
Sounds like some good cigars are in order.
Smoke em while we can!

A couple cold beers, and a Le Bijou, is just what I needed after work.

I am righthanded, so not interested in the rifle, but I have a 375 RUM and 350 gr bullet loading data is very hard to come by. If you could reply with information regarding your loads I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you, Ray Boone, Leavenworth, WA

An excellent AH member right here! I had a fantastic transaction with Hornedfrogbbq (I was the seller). His communication was first rate, payment was extremely fast, and I would have absolutely no reservations at all dealing with him again. Thank you, F!
Here we are, the last day of the show in Denver, it's been a good show but expecting a quiet day today. I will be back for-sure to do this show next year and maybe also do the one in Sacramento California.

On Monday I will be hitting the road driving from Denver and eventually make it down to Atlanta for the flight home.

its going to be a good year!
