Would you like a Cigar?

Another Le Bijou, and cold beers.

Grilling up some Angus, Bacon, Mushroom, swiss, burgers, along with onion rings.
Getting ready to watch the Bama/Florida game.

3 more days if work, then a much needed 4 day Christmas weekend.

Well, yesterday was the day and decided to sit outside and soak up some sun and smoke a cigar. The pooches enjoyed the afternoon as well. :)

Yes sir, much better. Good enough to smoke two back to back. :) I'm prepping to go sit outside and smoke one. Thank you for asking.

Enjoying an AVO Nicaragua during this chilly and soggy night. I also did a little bit of shopping. :)

Good on you! I see you found some powder - that stuff is getting hard to find in any flavor. I found a place a couple days ago that had some H1000 in inventory. I couldn't check out fast enough online!

I found this at a local store, they didn’t have much, but better than any other place I’ve looked. I’m going to check periodically, just in case.

Enjoying an Oliva V Melanio with some Amarulla over crushed ice, what a great combo.

I had been kicking around the idea of buying a box of super premium sticks for the holidays. Davidoff? Padron? High end Fuentes?
After much deliberation, I decided to take Uncle Mort's advice, and go with quantity, over the quality premiums. So if you don't like my choice, it's all Mort's fault.

Tim Swanson, is the owner/operator, of Cigars Daily in Phoenix, Az. Tim also hosts the Cigars Daily youtube channel, in which he has hosted many of the industries major players. Nick Perdomo, Steve Saka, just to name a few. Tim grew up in Tucson, and we both went to the same high school, albeit, many years apart.
I received a promotional email from Cigar's daily on a My Father Cigar's box sale, as well as another email giving an additional 20% off all sales.

I ordered a box of My Father La Promesa, in toro. These are hard to find right now thru some of the big online retailers. After discounts I got these for about $132.00 for the box.

But that's not all......

With each box purchase, some free swag is included.

5 of these My Father special event Cigars are part of the swag. These can't be purchased, and are only given out at special events, or to retail businesses.

More swag......

A Nice Camo My Father hat, cutter, and soft flame lighter.

Another reason I went with this deal from Cigar's Daily, is that Tim started his own Cigar company early this year, called American Viking Cigars. In colaboration with the Factories in Central America, he came up with his own blends. Tim is of Norwegian descent, as am I. Hence, being Vikings fans. LOL.
I wanted to try his blends, so I bought this 7 stick sampler pack on sale for $44.95

I have a glorious 4 day holiday weekend starting Thursday. Good food, drink, football, and cigar-a-thon. 4 days of being a total slacker. I will post up some reviews on some of these sticks.

Cheers, and Merry Christmas.

Smoking an Oliva Connecticut Reserve Torpedo, and I’ll be honest I prefer their maduro blends. The flavor was is a bit blah. Mild/med blend with hints of wood/cedar.

My 4 day holiday weekend has commenced at the end of this work day!
Booyah!

The 4 day Cigar-a-thon starts off with a Don Pepin Garcia Blue. Always a fantastic smoke. Washed down with plenty cold beers......
Need to get down to the liquor store, for a bottle of holiday hooch.

Going to fire up some of those American Viking cigars tomorrow.

Had to clean my palate with an Oliva V Melanio LOL!!!

After review of your purchase, you have the Uncle Morty Seal of Approval for “gift to self” cigar purchases. Looks to me like you hit a home run! I seen many happy nights of posting with a MF La Promesa! Well done. Well done indeed!

Besides the great deal on the La Promesa's, I just couldn't resist the swag. Especially, the My Father special event cigars. I've never heard of them before, but I'm keen on sampling them.
Overall, Cigars Daily can't compete with the online big boys, but he does have good deals at times, and a nice little shop in Phoenix. Walk in & online sales.
I was very impressed with the shipment packaging. Very neat, and all individual Cigar packages were wrapped with mini Boveda packs inside. Free shipping on orders over $79.99. i paid extra for 3 day shipping, and got it in 3 business days.

I also received a raffle entry for an Audew electronic humidor giveaway.

Sometimes, my inner big kid takes over. LOL.
