Would you like a Cigar?

I'm a bit of a filthy Viking myself. LOL

Who better to review it, then the man himself. I agree with his assessment, although a 93 rating might be a stretch.
It is good.

I saw that one coming! When we are disappointed with one cigar, we fire up another to make up for it. LOL.

Funny! I did the same thing last night. Had a RP The Edge where I got 5 free with an order. Not a huge Rocky fan, but thought what the heck, it’s Christmas weekend, I’ll give it a try. Not the best, not the worst. But then I thought, I can’t end on an average note, so broke out the Don Pepin pictured above, for the warm toasty cigar of the evening. Then I read @Brent’s post of his choice the same evening and it was De Ja Vue! Happy Christmas Eve to all! BTW, one of my favorite Christmas Day rituals is to get up a couple of hours before the rest of the family, brew a pot of coffee, and go out on the porch with the heater on, reflect on just how blessed I really am, and enjoy a special cigar. Tomorrow morning it will be an Opus X. You all are part of my rich blessings, whether you realize it or not!

Don Pepin Garcia- Vegas Cubanas

One of the 5 swag cigars I got from Cigar's Daily.

Started off with a big red pepper blast, but smoothed out pretty quickly. Still a zesty little minx. Notes of Cedar, wood, pepper, and a toasty bread finish.

Introduced in 2003. ( I had to look it up)

Tried this today - Pappy Van Winkel Family Reserve a barrel fermented cigar. This was a good smoke a bit of pepper but sweet, tangy notes. I was rooting around my storage unit looking for some reloading supplies so I wish I was able to sit and enjoy it a bit more.

I think I saw those, or something similar, over at the cigar shop. I haven't sampled any though.

I picked mine up at the local cigar shop too - must have been a few months ago. I'm not a big Scotch guy but I bet it would have went well with some.

I don't drink much hard liquor. I'm mostly a beer guy. But I pick up a bottle during the holidays. The Scotch didn't pair well with the My Father Cigar I just smoked. A quality Rum, would probably be better?

The Liga Zebra, by American Viking Cigars.
A barber pole stick, with a Connecticut shade, and Maduro wrapper. Notes of earth, cream, Cedar, and a little nuttiness.
Some good flavor to this stick.

Just sitting around, having some drinks, getting ready to grill up some dinner, while listening to Christmas music thru the headphones. The simple pleasures in life.

Lol...my palette is pretty shot so me giving any advice on "pairings" would be futile! I recall a long time ago I did use to drink this rum I believe it was called Aniversario, came in a small leather sack - that was pretty good stuff. I do enjoy Crown Royal a bit but I'm mostly a beer guy as well.

Had a pre dinner cigar. Dinner, 1 1/4” thick ribeye with Venezuelan potato salad :)

That looks fantastic @PARA45 ! I just ate but could go another round with that! :A Laughter:

Getting ready for a number two, an Oliva V Melanio maduro :)

Took the easy way out tonight and went out to dinner with the fam in downtown Nashville to support the locals. Great 20oz porterhouse, gumbo, and cornbread at Deacon’s South. Excellent meal and finishing off on porch with the snow drifting by on a cold wind with a Hoyo De Monterey.

Well..... I'm on a roll tonight. Cigar #4 for the evening. That's what happens when you pour Scotch in me, with beer chasers. LOL.

Had to dip into that shiny new box of La Promesa's. A great smoke.

Tenderloin steaks, baby taters, and sauteed shrooms with garlic and herb.
Like Cookie said in the movie City Slickers, "The food is hot and brown, and there's plenty of it".

Rico Barato (Rich-Cheap)- American Viking Cigars budget stick at just under $3 per. Its a Cuban sandwich type stick
A decent flavored Connecticut, with a couple cups of Don Francisco coffee this morning. Up early, to get some food prepped, for an all day slow cook in the crock pot, for a good Christmas dinner.

Merry Christmas, Gents!

Everyone always thinks about the worst thing that can happen, maybe ask yourself what's the best outcome that could happen?
