Who likes the 7X57

Thank you. I will try to take some better pictures when I get home. I happened to remember this one was on my phone from last year's deer season.

More pics......

 She's a beaut Clark. I'm assuming the only problem with hunting it is tripping in the woods all of the time because you can't take your eyes off of it.

Is it original or has it been restored? Not that it matters I'm just wondering.

Thanks guys. It was restored at one time by whom I don't know but they did decent job although the metal finish is very shiny.....like Weatherbys and Brownings from the '70s.

Rifles like that are the reason so many of us prefer the early english designs and when we built to similar style fully understand why they are so desirable.

Hello Degoins,

Thank you for sharing with us the pictures of that beautiful Rigby Mauser!
The book itself by the first owner is also a gem!
I am sure it is a pleasure tu hunt with it!!!

3 original Rigby .275s right now on guns international. 2 at vintage doubles where I bought mine and one at Cabelas Fort Worth.

Tintin, I have a Funny but true story.
Several years ago I was in a gun shop in Butte. There was a pretty Ruger #1 on the rack & I asked the young salesman to look at it. He handed it to me & as I looked at it I saw it was marked .275 Rigby. I didn't have the money for the rifle, but if he had a box of .275 Rigby I'd buy it. I asked if he had any .275 Rigby ammo. He said sadly no, I can sell the rifle, but we don't have any ammo to sell the buyer. I asked if he had any 7X57 ammo, he looked & said yes we have some of that. I said if you sell the rifle you can sell the buyer some 7X57 ammo because the only difference is the headstamp on the ctg. case. He looked at me kind of funny & said really? To this day, I don't know if he believed me.
Funny - I hope you got a good deal for him selling you ammo that didn't match the rifle ;-)

trperk1, I bought the Kimber Caprivi 375 back in an earlier post. You attached a target with an impressive three rounds touching 100 yards. I took the 2x10 VX5 off and put a VX6 HD Gen 2 1x6x24 Duplex Firedot on the rifle. It's definitely a shooter curious what loads you used for the group. Loving this rifle so fun to shoot. Africa 2026 Mozambique. Buff and PG. Any info appreciated.
Ready for the hunt with HTK Safaris

Hello:
I’ll take the .375 Whitworth for $1,150 if the deal falls through.
Thanks .
