What did you reload today?

I need to post a hunt report of my nilgai sometime. It's a hunt that I think more should look into...like free range aoudad...need to post that report also. Word of caution...understand the nilgai shot placement before you go. I have seen a lot of mistakes there and they do not fold up with bad placement.

.44 Special, a WARM load only for Ruger Flattop Blackhawk, 9.5 gr Unique, 200 gr Hornady XTP. Accurate, and 90% weight retention in wet newspaper at 10 yards. Varmits do not approve. 10-12" of penetration.

Helping a buddy’s son with loads for his 308. Loaded up a few 165gr Sierra Gamekings this morning for ladder and pressure testing.
Getting a box of 165gr TGK bullets next week to try in the 7x57.
 
Hanging in the gun room most of the day today. Loaded some .308 win for an Alaskan black bear hunt I leave for this Friday. Finished loading ammo for whitetail this fall, including .300 BlackOut for my son and .300 Win Mag for my wife. Now onto a little more .375 H&H for practice ahead of Zim next summer.
 
500 Sharps 2 1/2" (50-90 Sharps). 575gr Peregrine VRG-2, 80.0gr H335. 2057fps average.

Target is 5 shots, open sights, 50-yards. The 2 out of the center ring were the usual result of a clean cold barrel. The last 3 share the same hole.

7 PRC with 18 inch barrel and suppressed all summer. Finally got a load to work sub-moa. 72.3 grains H1000 under 168 gr LRx, WLR primer/Peterson brass.
Attached is my 200 yd target. Wish the SD was single digit but oh well. Should kill something.

Not sure how to answer this question or exactly what you are asking. The loudness of the shot is minimized with the suppressor. The recoil is stout but not so much as to cause a flinch such as a .300 WinMag and 200 gr bullet unsuppressed might give. I definitely will not being seeing my shot impacts, if that is what you are wondering.

Like I commented, my classic stainless has the original 24” barrel.

Did you buy yours with the barrel already cut down to 21” or did you do it (or a gunsmith)?

You might have edited your post on the PH in the Bubye. I know the PH and is a wonderful person and a fmaily man and runs a succesful business in Zim and just doesn't want the attention that the internet offers, the ugly kind.
