@Aaron N these have both of the woodleigh types apparently. Now comes finding something to feed it with. I thought I had a line on Woodleighs, but it was an outdated website!
They are out, the website hasn’t been updated. I thought I was in luck until I called them!
You are right, they do make them. They are one thou small, and the only thing I know about Hawk is @rookhawk’s troubles. So I was trying to avoid them!Hawk bullets make them it seems.
There was a Canadian distributor Summach Sports. Their website is down which is too bad because nice folks ran it.

Pictures?!Great post. I have one of these also. Before the brass became available I went through the process of forming and modifying 375 ruger brass, tedious, but it did work i.e. the gun fired and ejected it. I got side tracked after that, but I did find 2 boxes of original ammo. I think the ammo is way too valuable to shoot as the boxes alone are on another site for about $300 ! I don’t know if I have any correct bullets here with me, but I’ll check. I’m glad you found dies, they’re rare. I was thinking about loaning them to you, but I may sell the rifle. She’s a beauty, pop-up peep and all.
Have you thought about powder coated lead bullets? I think nominal bullet velocity is 2700-2800 fps.
The Lord Grey lion hunting incident (hunting lions on horseback) piqued my interest. Not the fault of the rifle, but even though morbid, it does fit well into African hunting lore.
enjoy that fine rifle.

Could you imagine the hunting that he could have done in there? It would have been the Garden if Eden!Very cool rifle. I love the feel of them.
Ross at one time had the lease on the Ngorongoro crater.
I did see this a couple weeks ago, good video over all.You have probably seen this but I thought it would be of interest to others. A great analysis of the issue that seems to show the stories are only partially true.
That’s a great looking rifle, and find it interesting that the bolt was jewelled at some point. I have never seen that in a Ross before, and had been curious as to how it would look. Here are some photos of my 280 Ross. I think I said I wouldn’t drill it for a scope, but that just shows how long it’s been since I really looked at it. I don’t know what the 2 holes on the left side of the receiver were for. I suppose some kind of scope mount. Also a few photos of original ammo.
I checked and found I had brought the dies, but forgot to bring new Hornady brass. I also had brought some of the reformed 375 Ruger brass and the easier to convert 300 H&H. I didn’t find any correct size (.288 I think) bullets.
