I asked @SPLITTING IMAGE TAXIDERMY to tan the skin from the Eland. The leather craftsman who will using it is very happy with the uniform colour and quality of the tanning process. We are looking at a weekend bag, purse for my wife, and possible some rifle cases. Apparently, an Eland tanned properly gives you a lot of leather to work with!
