SOUTH AFRICA: MOZAMBIQUE: Off To Southern Africa With KMG & TMS & PPS

I would describe your hunt report as entertaining and, more importantly, inspirational! Thanks again.(y)

Good stuff Wayne, I think this definitely qualifies as the longest, most interactive hunting report so far. (y)

Lots of interesting comments and photos! Keep them coming folks!

Your encouraging more comments Charlie. Watch out, you may not know what you are asking for here. :)

Going through the photos again and I found this one.

Just moments before I came to full draw asI snuck up to the cliff edge.

Hope it inspires you to write your own and get out hunting. :)

Super nice orbi! Next time I bring the 375 H&H to the range, I'll play with that set trigger, so far, I have not liked it.

Good looking caracal. The top three reasons I booked with Marius for next year, his caracal success, the quality of the bushbucks taken and his reputation on this site. Glad to see you had a great trip and hope I get my bushpig as well.

I've found the same thing. I'm more accurate without using the set trigger.

I think though that you nailed it and it is a matter of practice. Once you touch that thing it goes off, so you'd better be ready!!!

Brickburn your posting some great photos. I'm sure it helps people who have never been to Africa see just what a hunting paradise it really is! Keep it coming.

And you petted it and chatted with it and convinced it to stop killing Sheep, Impala and Bushbuck and move on to the next farm to.

Practice is the key. You are right about being ready before your finger breaths on the trigger.

I have trained myself to drag the back of my finger on the rear of the trigger guard and slide my finger behind the trigger, push it forward and then get ready to go.
No looking required.
I have gotten it to work for me.

What a great way to kick off our 2025 hunting season in South Africa.

This beautiful Impala ram was taken at just over 300 yards, took a few steps and toppled over.

We are looking forward to the next week and a half of hunting with our first client of the year.

Do you have any more copies of African Dangerous Game Cartridges, Author: Pierre van der Walt ? I'm looking for one. Thanks for any information, John [redacted]

Out of all the different color variations of Impala the black Impala just stands out with its beautiful pitch black hide.

Impala is one of the animals you will see all over Africa.
You can see them in herds of a 100 plus together.

This excellent ram was taken with one of our previous client this past season.
