Politics

Not that anybody cares, but I want to clarify my post here. I grew up as a conservative Democrat in the mostly moderate/conservative Southern California of the ‘60s, ‘70s and lived there through the ‘80s. The Democrats I knew supported Presidents Kennedy, Johnson, Nixon and Reagan. Right or wrong, they supported our involvement in the Vietnam war. The 2nd Amendment was supported as well as hunting. Remember the attempt to ban the so called “Saturday Night Special “ handguns in the ‘70s? My non gun owning somewhat moderate Democratic grandfather told me that he disagreed with the ban, because the non wealthy average working man should be able to buy a “cheap” handgun to protect his family if he chose to do so. Then in the ‘90s (I escaped by then), the political landscape started to change. Not exactly sure why, but it did. My question is what happened to the mostly moderate/conservative Democrats? There are a few in Congress, but the majority are left leaning and many Socialist thinking idealists? It’s not the Democratic Party I was a member of and the ideation I was a part of. What the h*** happened?

I've wondered the same thing and am probably half your age. If you don't know then I guess I'll go on wondering.

Guess who the big winner is in that scenario. Hint: his company owns BNSF, the freight hauler moving the oil by rail.
Well, that’s a good theory, but what about those diesel engines spewing huge amounts of exhaust into OUR atmosphere? I say OURS, because countries like massively air polluted China have their own atmospheres and are exempt from say, the Paris Climate Change Accord? How will China Joe reconcile these irregularities?

Oh, those people pay their indulgences, so they still get to go to heaven.

The 22 year old woman who stole Pelosi's laptop, was going to try and sell it to Russian operatives. She could face 20 years in prison.

A friendly tip for those that storm the castle walls. Wear a face covering, so you can't be recognized from surveillance video footage. Not very smart.

I recall B Rocko 'Bama saying that a significant amount of greenhouse gases could be reduced by having gasoline at $5+ per gallon.
I remember well when Obama’s Energy Secretary Steven Chu was being grilled by Congress over the price of fuel, after gas hit $4.10 and diesel $4.75 per gallon. Chu stated he didn’t care if gas prices hit $6.00/gallon. When asked if he owned a car, Chu responded that no, he didn’t currently own a vehicle. Another wealthy elitist who’s leaving the working person in this country to their own devices (desperation). History repeats itself, and you’ll soon see that come to fruition.

I think I've entered a different dimension. Tucker Carlson is on a new episode on Youtube with Hickok45, "Barrel Shrouds and that "Shoulder Thing that Goes Up".

Frigging hilarious. Tucker actually knows a thing or two about firearms and is a strong supporter of the 2d Amendment. Mockery of the concerned left is a good thing.

And of course during the election nonsense, much of "our" media decided Tucker along with the rest of Fox were "traitors." Wish we hand more friends in the media like him.

Well, I see China Joe cancelled the XL pipeline project right after his inauguration. The march towards at LEAST $4.00/gallon fuel for the poor bastards having to drive to work for a living has began. Unity and opportunity for the American worker! Can’t wait for the upcoming sequels!
Wait, I forgot about the hundreds of good paying jobs that just disappeared on both sides of the border with a stroke of Biden's pen! Too bad he wasn't using disappearing ink? It wont matter, because soon we'll be seeing a disappearing U.S. economy.

Better leave your cell phone home too. That GPS chip that the government required in every cell phone manufactured can just as easily place you at the scene of the crime.

pay cash for a burner. or several of them.

So I would have been happy and content if Hollywood would have bestowed a "Lifetime Achievement Award" to Joe. Instead, 80 million votes were counted that said he should be POTUS.

Since he is our President for the foreseeable future, I do hope Biden is successful in moving the US forward in a positive way.
I don't see how giving THREE TRILLION dollars to Russia, China, Iran and Syria is going to do much for our economy. This is a bill that came up in the house today. Way to go, Nasty Piglousy.

Curious to see how Biden´s "New Green Deal" will play out.. You see, it is the same story here in Europe.. The problem is that you and I will get the bill. Fuel and food will soare and they do not have a clue how to replace jobs lost..if they stop the use of fossile fuel prematurely.. I am in oil and see through their lies..

The bottom line is: - If we go green to fast the standard of living will be signifcantly reduced..

The know it, but they don´t care...they will go on with it no matter what..

I think Trump should be remembered in the future for what he did for America not for his personality
But unfortunately the last month or two has soiled it all. He will be remembered by history for the last two months
Unfortunately..., history is written by the winner......

Maybe he would approve of going back to horse drawn carts. Has anyone worked out how much green house gas a horse produces per day? It still produces when it isnt hitched to the buggy, so the greenhouse gas factored per kn or mile must be a very uncool number.

late 19th century London was literally getting buried in horse manure, and that was with less than half the population they have today.

the lack of perspective in SO many people in the west is truly depressing. Petroleum and IC engines made the world a MUCH cleaner place to live.

An excellent AH member right here! I had a fantastic transaction with Hornedfrogbbq (I was the seller). His communication was first rate, payment was extremely fast, and I would have absolutely no reservations at all dealing with him again. Thank you, F!
Here we are, the last day of the show in Denver, it's been a good show but expecting a quiet day today. I will be back for-sure to do this show next year and maybe also do the one in Sacramento California.

On Monday I will be hitting the road driving from Denver and eventually make it down to Atlanta for the flight home.

its going to be a good year!

Hi Rem280, Saw your post on getting selected for Idaho Elk. Do you have a zone(s) selected? I live in N Idaho, might be able to offer some ideas.

Cheers,

Craig
