Except Regan and W both won twice. GHWB lost due to a recession, (breaking a campaign promise did not help).

I agree that Trump's trashing of the swamp rats was great. But he tended to trash just about any and everyone as well, including too many Republicans - and their supporters. W and McCain come to mind - plus Dick Cheney. McCain even after he was dead.

Piss-off or scare-off enough of the base and swing voters and you get voted out. And he also cost us the Senate in the process.

I just want a solid conservative that can win (big).

Some of you guys need to get out of the "cult of personality" and into the policies. We need Trump without the stupid things he says. I am all for calling out the MSM as fake news, etc... but Trump is a buffoon with no people skills for his own people. His son, Jr, would be way better. Jr gets excited too but is way more articulate and smart. I loved how Trump got after the swamp and media but he too often turned on his own advisors and cabinet. Firing respectable people by Twitter?? What an unprofessional, narcissistic person! Then thinking Pence could stop the transfer of power to Biden? Wow! The accolades he laid on Putin and the North Korea dictator? Crazy talk.
