It is already stopped. Beginning to wonder if it isn't more like an open air prison camp where the Ukrainians have no responsibility to mind the inmates.

I digress. Were it real mission for the US, because it is Russian with Russian AD systems, we would be striking it from 30,000 feet with JDAMS with as long a slant range as we could generate .... after a wave of ARM strikes.
Interesting and informative article. With Russia's advanced air defenses, I'm wondering what the Ukranian's plans are for the Mig 29s they're receiving from Poland?

Electricity prices will follow shortly. Our electrical grid is primarily fueled by hydrocarbons. The left wing nutbars appear to think that fairies do it.

Not to mention that most of the nickel for the batteries comes from Siberia

I think I figured out the real reason for the long, backed up convoys on the roads. They are attempting to go through the drive through lane at McDonalds and haven't realized they are closed.

McDonald's to temporarily close 850 restaurants

DETROIT (AP) — McDonald’s said Tuesday it is temporarily closing all of its 850 restaurants in Russia in response to the country’s invasion of Ukraine.

The burger giant said it will continue paying its 62,000 employees in Russia “who have poured their heart and soul into our McDonald’s brand.” But in an open letter to employees, McDonald’s President and CEO Chris Kempckinski said closing those stores for now is the right thing to do.

“Our values mean we cannot ignore the needless human suffering unfolding in Ukraine,” Kempczinski said.

Kempczinski said it’s impossible to know when the company will be able to reopen its stores.

“The situation is extraordinarily challenging for a global brand like ours, and there are many considerations,” Kempczinski wrote in the letter. McDonald’s works with hundreds of Russian suppliers, for example, and serves millions of customers each day.

McDonald’s has also temporarily closed 108 restaurants in Ukraine and continues to pay those employees.

McDonald’s could take a big financial hit because of the closures. In a recent regulatory filing, the Chicago-based company said its restaurants in Russia and Ukraine contributed 9% of its annual revenue, or around $2 billion.

Too bad, because it appears that's about the only way the Russian soldiers are going to get a meal? I believe even Napolean recognized the importance of providing food to his soldiers.

Did not mean to post that, because there is not much point continuing to debate the infamous 40 mile convoy, we each made our point :V Sword Fight:
No need to :S Beat Dead Horse: right? since only "wait and see" will answer the question...

But since you are twisting my arm :E Rofl:

So........... Ukrainians themselves are reporting that:

So what? Right?

Well, I am of a curious nature, and a quick look at a map shows something interesting. It just happens that:

1- Katyuzhanka, Borodyanka and Gavronshchina are located at the beginning, middle and end of said 40 mile convoy (in light blue in below map);

2- Katyuzhanka, Borodyanka and Gavronshchina are located on, or near, P02, E373 and E40, as well as T1011.

Now why would the Russians build "field logistics camps" along the 40 miles convoy, on each of the three main arteries to Kyiv ???

Pure coincidence I guess...

But I too digress ;)

Agreed. A couple squadrons of B1Bs would be my recipe, or even an old-style wing or three of B52s, assuming air defenses are indeed taken out by Wild Weasels :)
I suspect in that AD and potential contested air environment we would use three or four B2s and/or F-35s. Until the weapon bays open, they both have the radar cross section of mocking bird.

You would appreciate this podcast interview. Kofman is a well respected analyst of the Russian armed forces at CNA. His analysis pretty much parallels ours with explanations and assumptions that parallel yours particularly.

I would not assume that the Ukrainians are getting those planes quite yet.

The US are saying it's a Polish decision we are not part of it, and the Poles are saying we are giving the planes to the US. They are NOT saying we are giving the planes to the Ukrainians.

Looks to me like no one wants to take Putin's call asking did YOU give these planes to the Ukrainians :E Rofl:

Maybe time to play along with Putin's longstanding epic "disinformation" game? "Did YOU give these planes to the Ukranians?" "No, they bought them from the Taliban. They were abandoned after you left Afghanistan, refurbished and sold on the black market. The Taliban said they needed the cash to mount an Islamic insurgency into Russia". What can Putin say? It's the same sort of BS he's promoting now and for MANY years before. I would say to Putin, "disprove" it? LOL

Oh, it's unlikely that you will be able to fool Putin. Not because Putin is so smart, and not because you are not cunning enough. It's just that there is such a secret weapon - Victoria Nuland. For example, what she blurted out at the 47th minute:

Suppose these biological laboratories are Ukrainian. Then why do Americans care about them?
Moreover, the version that this is the real purpose of the "special operation" was expressed even a little earlier than these hearings. Actually, Rubio's question was probably not entirely accidental.

You and your leadership really need to figure out the purpose of this "operation" and get on the same message. Propaganda is so much more effective when it is consistent. I thought the Russians were killing civilians to "liberate" the poor survivors from the hands of a Fascist Nazi regime? Or was it to protect the motherland from encroaching NATO armies bent upon invasion? Or was it to reestablish a Soviet era buffer zone of neutered nations. But perhaps this will work better - Russia invades neighboring country to prevent biological warfare catastrophe? It has the benefit of simplicity and the conspiracy crowd in both countries would love this as secret undercurrent to conflict.

The problem with all this nonsense is that it is overshadowed by Russian brutality trying to overcome force projection incompetence. And everyone is seeing it in real time in this new digital age of ours.

I was going to suggest you should study our challenges in Fallujah, but perhaps Russia's on steadfastness at Leningrad in the face of Nazi Germany is a more accurate parallel.

Vashper,
Putin is very intelligent and knows exactly what his goals are and when he wishes to execute his plans to accomplish those goals. The problem is, as we can see in Ukraine, the details within his plans sometimes leave a lot to be desired and those tasked with executing his plans are often left out of the informational loop, so to speak. But, I believe Putin can be fooled. He is a "magician" and is very good with using smoke and mirrors to fool the World as to his true ambitions and plans. He's done this for years and his time with the KGB honed his skills. When you think you are the "best" at your craft (magic), somebody else eventually will come along and prove you wrong. As for the video you provided here, I fell asleep watching it as I usually do when listening to the constant droning of career politicians wasting everyone's time and getting nothing accomplished. So, refresh my migrane as to what Victor/Victoria had to say about the biological laboratories and Dr. Fauci's role in studying and applying "gain of function" experiments with the new "Zombie" Covid variant discovered in Ukraine and soon to be transmitted to Russia? Putin's "special operation" ought to be saving the asses of his soldiers and retreating back to Russia to protect the country from this new Covid strain! Fauci means business! Oh, and those Mig 29s are actually Mig 21s. The Taliban ripped off the Ukranians and up sold them the planes.

Putin's "smoke and mirrors"! I think the mirror broke this time?

Come Back Alive had said its efforts included training "350 snipers, more than 2,000 sappers and more than 3,000 gunners, and training is being conducted to train UAV [drone] operators."

"Lend lease"? We lend (ala FDR) the B2s to Ukraine and they lease (ala Churchill) them with our pilots from us. But, just as when Russian pilots were in North Korean Migs during the Korean War, the pilots in the B2s are actually from Jamaica? LOL

What a great way to kick off our 2025 hunting season in South Africa.

This beautiful Impala ram was taken at just over 300 yards, took a few steps and toppled over.

We are looking forward to the next week and a half of hunting with our first client of the year.
