Politics

My cousin is Peel Regional, my uncle retired Windsor and RCMP. No way they would participate in this crap. The vast majority of cops are great guys who take their duty to the public seriously. Where are they finding these goons?
OPP is there in force I believe. The OPP also were the only police force to agree to some dumb-ass order Ford put in place briefly. A friend who is a Metro cop predicted they would. The horses involved in the knocking down of the lady were Toronto cops I believe.

However, clearing a protest is not unusual. And, I hope, save us from the gross overreach of the Emergencies Act. The most despicable aspect is taking licenses and freezing accounts. The government is threatening the security of a protesters family Ike some mob boss. It makes me sick.

Glenn Greenwald (one of the most brilliant commentators on the planet and hardly a right wing nut) posted this in an op-ed today. The Western press vilified Putin for such repressive action while it is now celebrating Trudeau.

Confusing isn't it.

These are equally despotic activities aimed at quelling dissent. It ought to frighten everyone.

In the face of the repression they face the only option the Canadians now have is to up the ante - more convoys, everywhere.
I mentioned that in an earlier post. Get a couple hundred trucks with trailers and a few sets of b-trains to keep circling the parliament and surrounding streets like Sussex Dr. Keep moving slowly will still have the same affect as a parked protest.

Or simply park the trucks up at home and stop cartage to the ottawa and see how a few weeks of that sits with them. Bring in supplies on their horses if the must but no trucks should deliver untill they get rid of the dictator and his crew

I disagree. I think a better solution is to park their trucks, not on the streets of Ottawa but in the company parking lot. basically, the truckers would be going on strike. If the union involved would be supportive, the other unions such as the railroads could have sympathetic work stoppages. I wonder what the price of a loaf of bread in Ottawa would be in 30 days.

Would the unions not side with the socialist government?

Not necessarily. With the movement toward optional membership in unions, the smart unions will realize that the members are no longer captives of government edict. the union management would realize that the government is no longer their enforcement arm and that the loyalty of members is what the union should seek. with the truckers best interest at heart, the union would side with the truckers.

If I had money in Canadian banks:

1. I would move some of it to accounts outside of the country. Preferably countries that are not going woke.
2. Buy gold and silver.
3. I would also buy bitcoin and transfer it into cold storage.

This is what’s coming to Washington, DC.

I like that idea. It appeared to me during this protest, many of the truckers were independent haulers. Which means, they could independently decide not to deliver goods to Ottawa or anywhere else. With today’s supply chain issues, I’m sure they could keep busy trucking products elsewhere.

The NDP are very heavily financed by the Canadian unions and the NDP are backing Trudue. They union upper management are no longer caring about workers but for themselves.

I'm not sure if these should go here or in the jokes section, 'cause is funny how sad the Canadian and world wide politics are right now.

To get the joke watch the two short movies in sequence.

and

Now we know why...

You are referring to the orange wing of the Liberal party? I could not imagine an NDP leader such as Ed Broadbent or Jack Layton being so beholden to the Liberals. Tom Mulclair lmao not a chance. No, under Singh the two parties are all but merged.

I agree as much as I disliked Broadbent he had a bit of integrity, Layton a bit of the same. I stood up 30 years ago in a IWA convention and expressed my opinion on what I thought of the union supporting the NDP after we lost thousands of members because of their green policies.

And thank God for the constitution and a republican form of government. The liberal elite in this country, abetted by the media has been attempting to do the same thing with the capital demonstration and riot (while ignoring the BLM riots). DOJ's conclusion that domestic "terrorism" is the greatest threat to the country underscores that effort. But the constitution still protects minorities from the lockstep tyranny of a majority. With just a bit of luck, the coming election cycle will be an opportunity to begin to reverse this tide of liberal orthodoxy. Such a reversal will be much harder to accomplish in a parliamentary democracy where the creation of coalitions empower 36% of the electorate to exercise dictatorial power (I don't know how else to describe the current state of emergency in Canada).

I totally agree. Our founding fathers rebelled against an odd mix of monarchy and parliamentary systems. It is no wonder they so carefully crafted the checks and balances we have in our system. Canada is displaying the key weakness of the parliamentary system. I am incredibly thankful for my US citizenship.

I wish more Canadians would rise up and force this idiots hand. Unfortunately, that does not appear likely. If he is allowed to continue, we will have another Venezuela on our Northern border.

To understand what is going on in Canada, just listen to Klaus Schwab with WEF.

Start at the 1:10 mark and listen to1:45. He is very open with having young leaders. He has Trudeau and penitrated over half of his cabinet.

Hi - the only (best) method of sending you the .375/06IMP data is with photographing my book notes. My camera died so the only way I can do it is with my phone. To do that, I would need your e-mail address, as this
new Android phone is too complicated to upload to my desk computer, which would be easier and to down-grade, reduce the file sizes.
Best wishes

Hey Steve, This is Steve Washington we met at KMG last year. I am interested in your Winchester. Would love to speak with you about it. I work third shift and I cannot take a phone with me to work. Let me know a good time to call during one of your mornings. My phone is [redacted]. Live in Florida so I have to account for the time difference.
Look forward to hearing from you.

Good day, Slider.

Do you by any chance have any 500NE brass left that you are willing to part ways with?

Best regards,
