Around 20 October we were discussing the "No Kings" protest and many seemed to dismiss the significance. I agree with you in that I hope it wakes some people up and they reassess how they message in order to maintain buy in from their supporters.

Jay Jones literally said he wanted a Republican lawmakers kids to die (and almost certainly really meant it) and he's leading the race, and Spanberger never really said much to condemn it. I don't know what that's supposed to say about messaging, other than the Dem's are pretty fired up I guess.

Not really surprised except I hoped Virginia would have been closer. With Youngkin seemingly to be a popular governor I would’ve hoped some of his support would leach over to Sears. Apparently that was wishful thinking.
I haven’t seen any numbers on the Virginia AG race yet.
After all New Jersey is a blue state with a few exceptions and with the northern Virginia growth and turning deep deep blue the republicans will have a hard time in most elections.
I live in Virginia and have heard very few complaints about Youngkin. He was pretty reasonable.

Both of my parents are from Virginia and still have a fair amount of family there and they speak well of him except for a nutty uncle that’s as looney as you can get.

Somehow the nice immigrant black lady who has basic Conservative Christian values is too "Far-Right" for VA.

It still amazes me that the NAACP endorsed Spanberger.

Inigo Montoya comes to mind. National Association for the Advancement of COLORED PEOPLE.

Definitely not smart, he’s probably worried that they will bring their left wing views with them, which I totally understand.

That's what is happening here in Nevada. Coruptifornicators selling for big money, coming here in hoards, buying up everything and pricing the locals out of the market. Wouldn't be so bad but they bring their libtard socialism and try to change our way of life.

Democrats winning in purple or solid Blue states is not a referendum. And there is now a year for them to perform all the magic they promised. So they rightfully get a few months to dance and celebrate. But the elector will turn on them within the next 12 months if they don’t perform. just as many have done with Trump.

But! It is obvious that Trump needs a breakthrough in several areas. He started too many brushfires simultaneously. He needs to put some of them out and possibly take a loss and move the ball in key areas.

Trump most likely has his fingers crossed that the Supreme Court rules against his own tariffs and he has to drop them all. That news alone would boost the economy immediately.

He has too many stalled front lines.

He was on offense for 12 months he now needs both offense and defense. I am afraid he won’t do any of those things and will most likely take the Mid terms down with the ship.

Hopefully he recognizes that if he doesn’t get some popular wins in the next year, he will be a lame duck and will accomplish zero after next November.

Then Vance and Rubio will need to decide if they go down with the ship or resign opening the door for the Florida Governor to run in 2028.

I used to think Texas would be the last refuge for conservatives fleeing liberal states. But even liberals are fleeing the mess they helped create.

CNN is celebrating the “referendum” on Trump.

CNN and their party the Democrats should be more concerned about their flank. They have appeased the radical left so long that the Crocodile is now eating its own. Democrats should be more concerned with the PAC CAIR and the Socialist party flanking them in Seattle, Portland, Minneapolis Etc.

I’m not really sure why anyone (including the MSM) is surprised that D’s swept elections in CA, VA, NYC, and NJ

Trump lost all three of those states just 12 months ago. And lost them all by significant numbers..

I’m a bit surprised about Mandami when Cuomo was an option.. but surely no one thought Silwa had a prayer… he’s been running for public office in NYC for 12 years and hasn’t won a seat yet..

Last night doesn’t affirm anything that the entire country hasn’t already known for a long time… NYC would rather have a molded ham sandwich in a senior leadership position than a conservative… Virginia has become the CA of the east coast.. CA is still CA.. and NJ is still NJ…

These are the states that have provided us with Hakeem Jeffries, AOC, Charlie Rangel, Chuck Schumer, Nancy Pelosi, Barbara boxer, Gavin Newsome, Tim Kaine, Ralph Northrom, Mark Werner, Corey Booker, and Bob Menendez…

We’re surprised by their choices?

I’d be equally surprised if Ru Paul went on national TV and told us all that he’s gay..

It’s happened to a certain extent here in Oklahoma too. Multiple factors involved. Legalization of “medical” marijuana by our populace in tandem with lax regulation by the state government caused a gold rush. Max influx of out of staters paying crazy prices for real estate in order to establish grow operations. Thankfully they’ve cracked down on a lot of things in that area (including ceasing issuance of new licenses) and the state marijuana industry bubble has burst. It’s only a matter of time before it’s made recreational so that may change things.

Add in inflation from Covid and blue state refugees who can sell their places back home for 2-4 times (or more) than what it would have been worth here and it really has caused problems in affordability for locals. Land probably averaged $2-$4k an acre in my area 10 years ago. It’s probably double that now (some is going for $10k an acre). House prices have come down a little bit recently but housing was crazy high there for a while due especially to people trying to cash in on the marijuana gold rush. Covid exacerbated that.

I have no problem with and do sympathize with folks wanting to escape insanity in blue states and don’t blame them one bit for selling an average place there in order to live like a king here mortgage free. I would too if I was in their shoes. The problem is the bringing in of the very same political views that they fled from. Major problem.

Vice Presidents don't resign. Only two have. Spiro Agnew because he was tax crook (no contest for tax fraud) and John C. Calhoun. Calhoun did do it because of political differences with Andrew Jackson - but that was in 1832.

Just my view, but were Vance to resign, that would cause chaos in the party, pretty much guaranteeing a democrat wave in 28.

With respect to some coherent leadership from Trump, that would indeed be a Godsend. On tariffs alone, even friendly press like Fox is bewildered. He also has a counter productive way of pronouncing what a situation should be (in his mind) such as Ukraine, China, Venezuela, Greenland, etc without the means to bring his desires to fruition. To the voters, that has a way of looking like failure. Finally, the whole national guard thing, however effective in restoring order in a few places or in helping round up illegals, represents really bad optics for many - particularly independents.

Are you saying that the majority of people desire a modicum of tact, forethought, clarity and consistency? Crazy

Good afternoon,

I'm trying to get in contact with Mr Butch Searcy. I have the opportunity to buy one of his rifles chambered in 577 nitro Express however the seller does not have any of the paperwork with the information about what ammunition or bullet weight was used to regulate it. I know he is not making firearms anymore but I wanted to reach out after seeing one of your post about him.

Hi - the only (best) method of sending you the .375/06IMP data is with photographing my book notes. My camera died so the only way I can do it is with my phone. To do that, I would need your e-mail address, as this
new Android phone is too complicated to upload to my desk computer, which would be easier and to down-grade, reduce the file sizes.
Best wishes
Daryl

Hey Steve, This is Steve Washington we met at KMG last year. I am interested in your Winchester. Would love to speak with you about it. I work third shift and I cannot take a phone with me to work. Let me know a good time to call during one of your mornings. My phone is [redacted]. Live in Florida so I have to account for the time difference.
Look forward to hearing from you.
