The D’s love illegal immigrants. They scorn legal immigrants and citizens. Just use the “great” governor of CA as an example. It is very likely he will run for POTUS against AOC and IL gov Prickster in 2028. I finally realized that they want illegals in the U.S. specifically for cheap labor. Much like indentured servitude, slavery, etc. History just rhymes and everyone should listen. The D’s are at least consistent.

I honestly thought this would happen a couple of months ago after they returned Ft. Bragg to its original name. That was the test case.. it proved successful.. I figured they’d move quickly on all the other forts… I was wrong…

I’m guessing they held onto it on purpose… right now while the left is screaming about deporting illegals, changing fort names won’t get more than a footnote in the press… smart move on their part…

Do you think it's a sustainable move though? I just can't picture the bases remaining named after Confederates in perpetuity. When they leaned into taking Confederate names off of everything I thought it would have been a better idea to just rename anything that was named after a Confederate to someone who died in the GWOT (I'm originally from the Richmond, VA area, lots of Jeff Davis this and Stonewall Jackson that stuff around there). I always thought it would have been better for conservatives to get ahead of the narrative and maintain a decent naming convention in the spirit of honoring people who served, and to keep everything from being named after some trans activist or George Floyd or something.

There was an alumni from a local High School in the RVA area (Spc. Clarence Adams III) that was killed in Iraq in 2004. He was a black guy, football player, good student, etc. His older brother served in the Gulf War, his dad in Vietnam, and his grandfathers in a segregated military in WWII. It would have made sense to me to take something named after a Confederate, and change it to something after him, to honor his and his families' service, easy political win too.

I don't personally have any issues with CSA memorials or anything, just seemed like a way to get ahead of it.

Which is why they did not rename them after confederates.

What you got against Confederates?

I mean I don't know any personally??? haha. I don't know for certain but I probably had relatives that wore grey uniforms, probably joined up from some tobacco farm in Southwest VA.

Just jerking your chain. I’m sure all my ol’ peeps were Confederates. I’m a guy that’s proud of where I come from. Did you know that there were over 400,000 slaves in the states that would become the Union in the 1860 census? (Just before the war) At least that’s what I read. But it’s fashionable to dump on my people.

No offense taken, the better part of the story is I also have a biracial half-brother who's grandma was an NAACP leader in her county.

So your take on this is that rich leftists have payed to stage an insurrection..?

You must be buried in delusional conspiracy theories.. :ROFLMAO:
Pondoro, I appreciate your point of view and that of your country. Denying entry to those who do not meet our standards financially is a good place to start. Not allowing any chance of citizenship to all who enter illegally is proper. Norway has set a standard that the rest of the world should mimic. Had the USA adopted these standards we would not have the current problems in certain areas of our country. The expolsion of non-citizens is going forward as any good Norwegian would support and our country is the better for it. I find myself often at odds with the way Europeans view and administer justice, but support the effort to control radical immigration that seeks to undermine sovereignty. Trump is following the lead of your country and I feel myself being drawn closer to your point of view. High five my brother.

Doesn't the census count illegal immigrants which directly affects state representation? Another reason they want illegals in the states.

Illegal immigrants is of course not ideal..but be that as it may..will not your economy suffer if so much cheap farm labour is expelled from the US..? One thing is a criminal illegal another thing is a law abiding illegal worker who is working without papers..

No easy solutions here..but by all means, deport all criminal illegals..

The census does in fact count every living person. Regardless of citizenship. The Electoral College and House Seats are based on those counts. Also federal funding into certain areas.

This is exactly why they have sanctuary cities. They concentrate numbers of people in areas that are struggling with an exodus to less taxes, better schools, less crime etc, etc.

So if the Ds move millions of people to bolster the counts in key areas. They control local and federal government.

It’s amazing that so many people would purposefully bankrupt and overwhelm our education, medical and welfare programs. To win elections

This is a huge talking point from those that support illegal immigration that is quite simply false...

The need for manual labor in U.S. Agriculture has been on a steady decline over the last several decades with automation becoming more and more prevalent. Furthermore, "documented" legal immigrants are not being expelled... Illegal immigrants are the only ones who are being expelled... There is more than ample opportunity for legal immigration work in many labor fields provided the immigrants seek the legal pathways...

Regardless, the truth is that immigrants, both legal and illegal contribute a drop in the bucket to the overall economy. About 50% of these immigrant workers are undocumented. Another false talking point is the amount they supposedly contribute back into the economy which is actually precious little... Most of these immigrants send a major portion of their earnings back to their country of origin... The taxes that the documented workers' pay are limited to social security and local tax. Most earn way under the minimum gross annual salary to pay any federal income taxes at all...

All of the above doesn't even account for the social services both legal and illegal immigrants consume in the form of health care, public education, emergency services, etc.,..

One thing is a criminal illegal another thing is a law abiding illegal worker who is working without papers..

The term "law-abiding illegal worker" is the ultimate oxymoron... If someone is in this country illegally, they are not a law-biding individuals... They broke the rules to be here, and therefore they are criminals...

Is it okay if an electrician or a plumber breaks into your house in the middle of the night, sleeps in one of your beds, wears your clothes, and eats your food as long as he claims he is only there to help fix something?

Another mess Trump has to clean up from Obama’s/Bidens appeasement of Iran. Actually agreeing to Iran having Nukes within ten years.

Loosening sanctions and sending them billions in frozen assets. Funding Hezbollah, Hamas, Houthis.

So Israel is about to attack Iran. They can not hit only Nuke facilities. They will need to disable all offensive capabilities to strike Israel.

It’s an unfortunate band aid that needs to be pulled eventually. This is not Iraq “weapons of mass destruction”. This is a verified, real threat to MidEast stability. You can bet Trump got the green light during the visit to Saudi Arabia, Qatar and UAE.

I hope they do strike them. It’s ironic that Trump said Obama’s deal was the worst deal ever but he was trying to make a deal with them too, actually considering letting them keep their nuclear program for civilian purposes. We all know what the end result of that would be

Trump was doing the Trump thing. Rambling on about potentially allowing them low level enrichment for electrical generation. With full visibility and oversight. It was a carrot to get them to the table. I don’t think they took the offer and want weapons.

“Initial reports suggested a proposal from a Trump administration envoy that would allow Iran to continue enriching uranium at low levels for civilian use, such as nuclear medicine and commercial power. This proposal reportedly involved Iran shutting down its underground enrichment sites for a period of time and potentially joining a regional consortium for uranium enrichment.”

From what I have read the Iranians have basically said shove it....nobody will tell us what to do with our nuclear programmes....also one of the international atomic inspectors said he has visited the underground sites, and they are too deep to be reached by any bombs/ missiles.....but who knows... :E Shrug:

If you can’t take out the site, you take out access to the site, and you take out all the people with the knowledge and skills to advance the site…

There’s always more than one way to skin a cat…

The question is whether or not Israel has the capability to do those things..

Their intelligence agencies are top shelf, and their military is very experienced and capable.. but at the end of the day, they have limited resources and only certain tools at their disposal..

If we no shit think the Iranians are close to finishing the process that would get them nuke arms within a few years, it might force the US to get directly involved (or we’d have to make the conscious decision to just let them have the nukes)…

The U.S is partially evacuating the embassy in Iraq, as well as personnel in other areas of the middle east.
Is shit about to hit the fan?
