FWIW I was taught that trick by a USSS guy 20 years ago...

A belt isnt enough to hold your pants up with all the crap you have to carry without you looking like a ragamuffin in a suit..

Perry is brand of suspender that uses a low profile, high density elastic for the straps and sturdy hooks that grab under the belt at 3 points.. I used to carry a pistol, spare mag, small flashlight, radio, baton, cuffs, badge, and a few other nic nacks under my suit coat.. all on a 1.5" kramer horsehide double thick "dress" pistol belt.. and never had any problems once I started using Perrys.. my pants stayed up, I was able to run, fight, etc..etc.. in a suit.. and still able to look sharp while wearing it (as sharp as my oversized shaved sasquatch body can look anyway lol)...

They are the single best trick the USSS ever taught me.. that I never learned when working "plain clothes" as a beat cop lol.. (much of the other crap they tried to show me never really rubbed off lol)...

Vance is an odd duck for sure. He clearly has thought deeply about his positions and I think he will be difficult to pin down with a single line of attack.

General Flynn has some interesting news/thoughts regarding Jack Smith since Cannon has dropped the Mar a Lago case. If what Flynn is saying is correct, there is massive corruption taking place within the Special Council.

Without Biden falling deeply ill or dying before the DNC, I feel pretty confident we're not going to see a change in the D ticket at this point.. those that wanted to see Biden gone tried very hard to get enough traction to make that happen over the last few weeks, and it didnt work.. and now the country is far more focused on the assassination attempt of trump than they are Biden not being able to string more than 9 words together after 8PM... It will be at least 2-3 more weeks before Trump isnt the sole focus of the media and the general public.. the RNC kicks off today, etc..etc..

3 weeks from now, puts us just 1-2 weeks before the DNC.. which isnt enough time to get the momentum needed to put another candidate in place (again, unless biden suddenly becomes incredibly ill or dies)..

I am praying that Biden is the only way forward for the Democrats. I’m just waiting for something terrible to happen to Biden. I truly don’t wish something to happen to him. I just know that this saga is just getting started. Maybe Fauci can pull another pandemic out of thin air to assist.

I‘m just curious, since the failed assassination attempt, do you still feel the same about Trump? This could be asked of other Trump detractors too. It seems that more than a few detractors acknowledge a grudging admiration for him based on how he responded during this horrible event. It seems more than a few very vocal Trump detractors in the media and public purview have changed their mind and acknowledge their public support of Trump. I am honestly curious and always appreciate your viewpoint.

I would say that I have at least a little more grudging respect for Trump. While I still do not have any intention of voting for him, I will be paying close attention to what he says at the convention. I will be able to give a more definite response after that.

He picked a young, white, Christian male, with a strong and outspoken stance on pro-life and just 2 years experience in the senate.

Really makes me question who is advising Trump.

Haley? Woman, multi-ethnic. Did a great job representing the USA.
Scott? Highly regard and respected African American. Experience.
Rubio? Latino politician with experience.

No offense, but I would say any Democrat would be a better choice down ballot. I only use the current President’s approval rating as my first point of evidence. So, Michelle seems very appealing compared to Biden.

Ohio is already in the republican count unless all the polling on earth is wrong. And yes, of course it was intentional. While Vance doesn't help Trump with let's say, Virginia, he does offer a wedge into the northern blue wall through labor and the working class that a Youngkin or Haley would not move. Trump's strategy seems to be to attack the Democrat coalition rather than simply grow the republican tent. He may be onto something.
