“This has resulted in Africa becoming largely a communist continent where 95% of the population lives in abject poverty”

I do believe exactly 0 countries in Africa are communist. The divide is capitalism in play, I think you’ll find.

Well, again, applying an even standard then - because that feels a bit like a defense of Trump that throws shade at Haley: Haley (if it's true that she did) is not in office either. My point was Trump has a long and inglorious history with regards to an issue that one person posting tried to bring against Haley.

And I stand by the second part about the repugnancy of either man having a term in office in the future.
And yet the fact remains... in November we will have to choose between Trump and Biden when we vote. Based on the first term of each, Trump is the obvious choice, even if we find him repugnant as many of us do.

.375 Ruger, thanks for that video. It explains very well the behind-the-scenes difficulty and keeping Flat Tops positioned around the world, the scheduling and maintenance and certifications that go into keeping them deployed .

Nothing projects Power like a flat top engaged in flight ops.

Funny how the topic never comes up of how much it cost us to keep those sea lanes open for private commerce, and for every country in the world

What do you believe this sentence means? I certainly have no clue what you are trying to say. I am not even sure it is English.

@Zambezi is absolutely correct that the Soviet Union actively destabilized governments across Southern and Central Africa leading to civil wars that took hundreds of thousands of lives and left a socialist legacy in many countries that has been exploited by one petty dictator or criminal after another. It is that legacy not capitalism that is impoverishing whole nations. That is history, not an opinion.

Russia continues to mettle as most clearly and currently evidenced in the Sudan, but also across the breadth of Central Africa where it is trying its best to destabilize any pro-Western government or any that have natural resources to exploit.

Of course China, which does claim a communist government should you have missed that somewhere, is also actively binding much of Southern Africa in a modern form of economic bondage which will further work to the detriment of populations suffering under the lingering effects of Soviet inspired socialism.

I wonder at the education of someone with your assertions and syntax.

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!

To paraphrase the Bard - All the world is a conspiracy and all the MAGA loyalists are merely victims; They have their exits and their entrances; and one man in his time plays many parts.

I have come to the conclusion that J. D. Vance is still in the infant stage - Mewling and puking in the nurse’s arms.

You are making assumptions that I, at this stage, am not willing to entertain. And I have said this a bunch and believe it to my core: Trump's first term is absolutely no guarantee of anything remotely like it with a second bite at the apple. In fact, I think it's incredibly unlikely.

Again. Now when do we recognize the fact that those who do not understand their actual gender are mentally ill. At least this one cannot hurt anyone else. Let's hope the child recovers.

Past history is always the best indicator of future performance. Doesn't much matter what anyone thinks of the personalities.

Are you not also making assumptions?

You may be right about best indicators. I, however, am not convinced even a little bit. However, that second part "Doesn't much matter what anyone thinks of the personalities." I think Trump (and you) is seriously mistaken if he is banking on this to be true. I think his personality is going to have a huge bearing on the outcome, and furthermore, had he been a bit more of an adult throughout or measured in his approach, I think it very much could have swung things in the other direction for him. I continue to believe had he been less of an pompous, narcissistic ass the first go-round, we'd be in the middle of his second term right now.

Meanwhile in the real world, Lithium miners find their share price dropping, existing mines are being scaled back and new mines being put on hold. The much hyped lithium demand has not materialised and there is a vast over supply. Maybe vehicle manufacturers have seen what the politicians and journalists can't see - EVs have more cons than pros.

Actually, agreed on both counts given latest quotes. Just defending the man from being called a serial adulterer--before, maybe, but not during office.

You are most likely correct that if Trump had been "less of a pompous, narcissistic ass" he would have been reelected in the last election. That, however, was before people that voted for Biden saw the damage that he would do to the economy and the border crisis (and spike in violent crime). The damage was done after Trump left office and people tend to vote with their wallets.

Now unless Biden or Trump dies before the election, the race will be between those two. No one else is even close in either party. Trump may have caused so much hatred with his personality that he will lose again, but for those of us that hunt, own firearms and need to watch their spending, there really is no choice. I don't like it anymore than you do, but the facts are pretty clear.
