America has had a poor relationship with Russia since the Hillary Clinton Campaign and the DNC paid Perkins Coie, and a washed up British spy to write a dossier. The media ran with the story. The ensuing investigations knee caped the President and helped assure him limited to one term. Which inadvertently, probably contributed to the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

To this point, America hasn't heard this story from the Russian perspective since the main stream media won't allow it. A Carlson interview with Putin seems to scare the establishment and the media. Perhaps there is information the establishment doesn't want the American people hearing. If so, it might be something worth listening to so American's can determine the story for themselves as opposed to the narrative that has been in place for seven years.

There are Non Nuclear Electro Magnetic Pulse Weapons(NNEMP) but you won't get accurate answers on this subject from this forum because most of it is classified.
Uhhhhh… top secret, classified black ops stuff eh. I supposed that’s why you know all about it but no one else does. :)

On April 21, 2023, a coronal mass ejection (CME) erupted from the sun, spewing out a burst of plasma that raced toward Earth at nearly two million miles per hour and generated a severe geomagnetic storm (level 4 out of 5 on NOAA's space weather G- scale) at 3:26 p.m. EDT on April 23.

There have been dozens of large CMEs since 1859
One knocked power out in Canada for 9 hrs.

One caused Space X satellites to slow due to increased drag, re enter our atmosphere and burn up.

I remember the warnings last year that some major CMEs were headed our way but unfortunately they still cannot predict how severe they are until it’s very close and of course too late
Luckily the 2023 CME‘s did not cause too much damage
I have certainly posted here before concerning Carrington effect and the need to Harden electronics. Not one politician has a clue. It is also a good case for having at least one vehicle with points and plugs pre-electronic ignition setup--they will still run!

Sen McConnell caves....booyah! The lame bill might not ever make it out of the Senate.
Put the rubbish in the garbage can!

Republican's have had good success filing federal suits in Texas and thus the 5th Circuit. Part of Lankford's bill that is concerning is the following wording. Evidently everything related to illegal immigration would be subject to the DC Federal Courts. This by itself is worthy of voting against Lankford's bill.

Loopholes for everything. Thats the problem. Its written in a lot of mays and cans, not too many shalls. And even the shalls are discretionary, based on numbers. Too much BS, and it relies on believing Joe Biden!
I dont believe a word he says about anything. He could solve the border problem in the amount of time it takes him to undo all the EO's he wrote undoing everything that was working to keep the border under control, but he wont, because he is just an angry, stubborn old fool.
He should be summarily removed from the WH and tossed into the street with the trash.

The bill is getting it from all sides now, nobody likes it except Joe Biden and crew. Its a disaster.

The bill is getting far more daylight than they thought it would.

Children are not counted in the 5000 person cap.
Which will keep cartels engaged in the slave trade.

1400 are allowed in at each of the 30 ports of entry per day outside of the count.

This is the equivalent of your roof is letting in 90% of the rain.

And the repaired roof only lets in 80% and comes with a huge binding contract. That no one is allowed to fix your roof further in the future.

Biden could instantly undo all the executive orders that put us in this spot in the first place. Or the Senate could take up what the house wrote.

Mitch 2.0?

McConnell is the biggest swamp rat in the Republican party.

Regardless of Trump's outcome this year, I sincerely hope he uses his influence to take down McConnell.

Google the 1859 Carrington Event. If this happened today it would kill billions and send humans back to the Stone Age.

I don't understand how this would kill billions? Would people in cities go feral without power for a period of 2-3 months? Yes. Would rural people live off the land a bit, roughly approximating the lifestyle of the great depression for a quarter? Yes. Would those with valuable skills become priceless resources while do-nothing jobs become immediately worthless and long-term strongly depreciated. Yes.

All critical broken technology would be repaired in 6 months and all non-essential technology would be repaired or replaced in 3-5 years. Shortages would feel similar to Covid, but we'd have immediate deregulation to move goods and services to the point of need with zero bureaucracy.
Exception of people in hospitals that may perish due to lack of lifesaving resources, and the inability to pump water to arrest fires, I don't see so much downside in a global values correction?

Everything the global population presently values will become worthless. Neighbors, Family, Faith, and Self-Reliance will become a cornerstone of all societies all at once. I suspect gender pro-nouns and only-fans will quickly go out of fashion!

You seem pretty sure of the background of your audience.

People have been messing around with weaponizing EMP tech for a long time. The practicality of the concept breaks down pretty quickly when applied to real world usefulness. You might be able to fire a flux capacitor that would generate enough EM disruption using a portable and limited non-nuclear conventional explosive to screw up some electronics at some relatively small radius around the point of generation- but. Thinking twice about it… why not just use the blast effect of the HE and forget the EMP potential! The other issue is damage control and containment. Touching off an EMP weapon of any kind, given the wave component of any EM which by definition is not very controllable, might very well fry the user’s sensitive electronics right along with those used by the bad guys. But hey, don’t let the facts get in the way of any sci-fi fantasy. At least one James Bond film used EMP weaponry as a plot crutch- you’ve got that going for you :)

BTW- Here’s a potential power source for your EMP weapon….

Maybe
But, you also seem pretty sure of your knowledge of EMP's and their weaponized form!

If you want a real scare about the outcome of a such an event - a nuclear EMP attack - read “One Second After” by John Matherson. I can only say that it was a threat of great concern to the US Defense establishment.

Excellent book. I need to read the sequel One Year Later.

Morning Rob, Any feeling for how the 300 H&H shoots? How's the barrel condition?

Hello. I see you hunted with Sampie recently. If you don't mind me asking, where did you hunt with him? Zim or SA? And was it with a bow? What did you hunt?

I am possibly going to book with him soon.
Currently doing a load development on a .404 Jeffrey... it's always surprising to load .423 caliber bullets into a .404 caliber rifle. But we love it when we get 400 Gr North Fork SS bullets to 2300 FPS, those should hammer down on buffalo. Next up are the Cutting Edge solids and then Raptors... load 200 rounds of ammo for the customer and on to the next gun!
