Hunter can legally earn anything he can convince someone to pay him from a foreign corporation. Just like you can. Yes, even the Chinese. You can even give your father 10% of the proceeds. He does run the risk of running afoul FARA and its registration requirements. To date, they have him on income tax evasion - sort of the Al Capone strategy.

Unless someone can show that Joe Biden benefitted from those payments while Vice President, old Joe may be unethical, but he hasn't broken a law. Not surprisingly, due to Weiss's delays, the two years of returns and thus investigable material while Biden was VP are outside the statute of limitations for tax crimes.

I wouldn’t dispute that Hunter can earn money from whomever is willing to pay him, no matter how you look at it him flying on Air Force 2 is highly questionable and IMO unethical.

They have already shown direct monetary benefit to Biden from all the largess from foreign countries. Its no longer a matter of if but how much.

When millions go into the bank accounts of many family members, shell corporations, and all for nothing in return other than support from Joe Biden and his name, its not just unethical, and according to some who know more about the law than anybody here, they are impeachable offenses.

And pulease no admonition that the Senate wont convict. No it wont., the Senate has not yet convicted an impeached president for removal, never happened, probably never will.

Its not the point. The more information that can see daylight about Joes backdoor doings and dealings with Hunter and company, the better the chance of making him step back from running.

He should resign in disgrace but I dont really expect that anymore than I expect to see Hunter in jail, its unlikely and it doesnt matter, Joe is the target, not Hunter. He is just how you get there.

Joe Biden is the mother and father of all liars and is completely corrupt in so many ways and perhaps the most offensive man to ever soil the White House.

Almost certainly not. Biden is bleeding younger voters. Newsome is relatively young, is articulate, and likely smells good (with apologies for stealing Rafe Covington's line). He would reverse that overnight.

McCarthy leaving makes me wonder about his commitment to the people of California’s 20th District. You know, the people who elected him to Congres to represent them. He has decided that if he can’t be Speaker he isn’t interested in the job he ran for and was elected to.

The people of that district will have no representation until such time as Newsom calls a special election to fill the seat. I understand how that is as Mark Meadows was my Congressman until he became Trump's chief of staff. In my case, no special election was called and the seat went unfilled until the next election.

If I had to wager a guess, McCarthy is not headed back to Bakersfield but to K Street for a very lucrative lobbying position. He will probably earn more in 1-2 years than he did in his 16 years in Congress.

I dont think I mentioned Trump in my post but I can only say, I dont know. I agree that Joe is losing voter blocks left and right, both Trump and Haley out poll him, but on the other hand while Gavin is slick like Willie, he is also a disaster as Gov of our largest state and not very popular.
He is running this shadow campaign and I dont think that sits well with many, especially the pro Brain Dead Joey crowd.
So its hard to say, only time will tell.

I know its unpopular to discuss this in any way other than funding Ukraine, the only way any relief to our border disaster may be thru the process of saying, 'no border funds for America, no war funds for Ukraine'
Our border disaster matters a lot for OUR national security if you look at not just the escalating numbers crossing illegally and set free to go where they please but more importantly who is being allowed to do so.
Of late large numbers of well dressed, well kitted up single young Chinese males are coming over unhindered and like the rest from all over the world including all countries in the mid east, Africa, South America etc, are soon cut loose to wander about, never to be seen again unless or until they get arrested for something.

There is much angst about Ukraine and the administration is now using the language of fear saying 'if Putin isnt stopped here, he will go for a NATO country next' and then "we will have American blood spilled", says the ever pandering Fool of a Took Adm John Kirby!
This is fear mongering with no basis in fact and its disgusting, just like Kirby, who is nothing but a drivel dispensing mouthpiece for the worst president in history!

There is nothing more important to OUR country than securing OUR border from the hordes currently invading at will with little to know resistance. Its worse now than it has ever been, with no end in sight.
So if it takes holding up funding for some probable lost cause, I'm OK with that.
We're going to look pretty stupid funding someone elses war when some terrorist that crossed our border without so much as a by your leave, gives us another 9-11.
