“YOU” is the word I found most useful in class. Example

YOU!!!! Yes YOU holding the frog intestines. Don’t YOU think about throwing them across the room.

The first YOU got everyone’s attention. Then when each student realized they were not the YOU I had called for they quickly began digging a hole climb into in case there might be collateral damage.

Good Lord! Who comes up with these ridiculous ways to spend tax money?! I swear these people just think it's magical government dollars with no clue what taxes are. I honestly know of more than one person who thought the same. How they get through life at all, much less gain positions in government to do this crap, is a mystery to me.

Can all be traced to breakdown of the American family. Back in the day, you got your homework done or suffered the consequences, sometimes severe. For just talking in class, I remember getting whacked in school. Do that today and not only lose your job, you'll go to jail, and you and the school will be sued. The highschools in my area have full time state police stationed in them. There are illegals in them that can't be refused. Fights are common and one teacher told my granddaughter she was just a babysitter. If anyone's ever seen those Q&A sessions on TikTok where a young man asks simple questions in math, geography and history, they'll realize how much we're in trouble.

It's frightening how true that is. You also had chores to do. Responsibilities. Accountability. You earned any allowance. It kills me when I hear people say they have to pay their kid to take out the garbage or clean their room. Payment in my day was avoiding a crack to the back of the melon that would lift my feet off the ground if I didn't do the things expected. You learned respect. You did not get paid not to be a lazyass.
