My Covid vaccination experience

After 2 years of "pandemic" dogma, I believe that people are mostly divided into 3 distinct "religious/believers" groups:
- the believers;
- the non-believers;
- the formal believers who are negatively affected by the vaccination dogma directly or indirectly (family or close friends) and who willingly or not are transitioning to the non-believers group.

Unfortunately this transition will only take place through suffering. I've seen a quote that I will share with my fellow hunters:
"There is an increasingly number of people who regret taking the vaccine than people who regret refusing it".

Like any religious war, this one cannot be won, so there is no point trying to impose your belief onto another. All you can do is share what you "believe" to be true, keep an open mind and move on with life.

My son-in-law and granddaughter tested positive a couple days ago after our granddaughter was exposed at daycare. He had Pfizer earlier. Ruined them from being at our house at Christmas:(

A father/son I guided in Colorado December 9-14 for deer were antivaxxers with head colds. I was in close contact with them and in and out of the truck and hotel for a week. I recommended testing when they got home. They put my December 15-23 deer hunt in AZ and my Christmas at risk by not getting vaccinated. They tested positive and sent me a message while I was in AZ saying they were sorry for exposing me so close to Christmas and just before my AZ hunt. I got after them a bit because they could have ruined my Christmas and I could have been trapped in AZ with COVID. Luckily, I was staying in AZ alone and never got sick or any symptoms. Got tested and came back negative. I had Moderna x3. My daughter (nurse) says she sees fewer breakthrough cases with Moderna. Glad I got vaccinated or would have ruined my hunt and Christmas and maybe more!

If you’re going to travel and put others at risk, get vaccinated!
Dr. Daughter & her fiancee were both vaccinated and got covid at the same time. I'm sure it's an occupational hazard for her, but she's young and was quite sick for a week. I got it back in May...was easier to deal with than a common cold (noticeable for 3-5 days.) No vaccine for me as I live in a rural area and work from home and the occasional abandoned property jobsites. Family are all (required to be) vaccinated. Co-worker's wife was hospitalized, he had a cold, daughter 1 tested positive but no symptoms, daughter 2 negative and no issues. All over the map. Future travel plans may dictate vaccination...I've incorporated lots of Vit C, D, Zinc, sunlight and otherwise unspecified grape-based anti-oxidants into the diet and it seems to have worked wonders!

I had two Pfizer shots and gonna have my booster in one point in February.

I had both shots and tested positive for covid two weeks ago. The symptoms following the second injection were nearly identical to the actual virus. I am not thrilled about being forced to take the vaccines and then getting/spreading the virus. What exactly did the shots do for me, again? Herd immunity is a poor argument.

Since the DemonRats took over the government I no longer have any faith that what they say, do and try to impose has any credibility. As such I make decisions based on giving proper lack of weight to any thing coming from them.

Had the booster last week. Purely a travel decision for me. I am hopeful Omicron becomes pretty much the universal vaccine for everyone.

Again, testing for anti-body levels would seem the way out of this. Then people can make an informed rather than mandated decision about taking the vaccine. I really am afraid too many on the political left have concluded that Covid fear has been good for them, and are determined to keep the hysteria going through November.

The Shultz cartoon posted above is the most spot-on statement about “science” I’ve seen in a long time. The most basic, underlying tenant of science IS the asking of never-ending questions. Just shows how absolutely arrogant and ego-maniacal idiots the like ‘Tony the Fauch’, aka ‘The Weasel’, really are as self-defined religious zealots and false prophets in positions of political power—- IMO, an extremely dangerous combination, with no shortage of comparables throughout history.

My older kids (5) and my wife and I had double doses Moderna. My wife caught the krud and I quickly followed just before Christmas. My son arrived from California on a red eye and felt off, tested positive. He and I isolated together at the beach. Our kids from Nashville arrived Christmas Day and they tested positive. We ended up all hanging out together over the holidays. My daughter in law, son who had the original Covid and our 6 grandkids never got it go figure. For all of us it was minor more of a cold not even close to a flu. Hopefully this variation will start to wind Covid down and we can all get back to normal. Stay safe

I had the COVID right after Thanksgiving, and I'm unvaxed. Miraculously the symptoms were like a mild common cold, with some drowsiness. I took hydroxy and Ivermectin and COVID got it's asss kicked in about a week. I hunted mule deer every day. These so called vaccines are a farce and always have been. I'll be damned if I take it just because I want to travel somewhere that requires it.

Agree

Just because your vaccinated don’t mean you can’t get it. I had both Pfizer shots back in April May 2021. All has been good up until last night!
Wednesday we had a coworker call in sick and tested positive. I worked around him Monday and Tuesday, I had felt fine till last night. Low fever and chills set in, then sore throat. I had sweat spells during the night, felt pretty good when woke up but still scheduled a test anyway. Well it’s positive!
So looks like I’m off work awhile and in isolation for a few days. At least I will have time to work on Safari plans for May trip.

Correct. I’m vaxxed and got Covid from my vaxxed wife who got it from her vaxxed and boosted co-worker while wearing N95s. They work in MRI.

Another lady at the hospital got Vaxxed, got Covid, got boosted, then got Covid again.

like it or not folks, Omicron is bitch-slapping these very narrow vaxxes. Everyone will get omicron.

did your regular doc prescribe the treatments? No one I know has been able to get them.

Sorry to hear you got it. I hope you get over it quickly.

I was double vaxxed in April and May of last year. Pfizer. I try to stay out of things but in my experience and IMHO I believe the shots helped. My symptoms were pretty mild. I only felt rough for about a day till my fever broke.

I worked the entire time and think the activity helped as well… Just for the record I drive around and look at oil wells all day. My coworkers pumped my gas for me. So I wasn’t a “super spreader” or anything lol

My wife and I were vaxed (Moderna) in March / April ‘21. About two weeks ago I developed a low grade fever 100.8. The next day it was lower. I never really felt bad except for the hot and cold for two days. Within the next two days I felt fine. About halfway through my ordeal, my wife felt blah for a couple of days. We’ve done the quarantine thing.
I’m not getting the booster. Having had Guillian Barre Syndrome, there are a lot of vaccines I’m not supposed to take as they increase the chances of reoccurrence. I rolled the dice with this unproven vaccine only because my wife has several preconditions and wanted to protect her.
My take on COVID is that it will be with us for a while, maybe forever, but we just need to live our lives. Is it deadlier than the flu: yes, but not so much I need to live in fear.

I will say that symptom-wise this has been a weird virus. I’ve never felt so much tingling from a flu or serious cold. Just odd stuff.

And yesterday I was feeling great with no meds on board, no temp, nothing. Than at 9pm last night my temp spiked to 100.8, then higher, kind of a flushed feeling, almost like a histamine reaction.

I said to hell with it, took NyQuil and hit the sack. Some tossing and turning and some sweating, for two hours, then peaceful slumber. No temp in the Am.

a very strange deal. Today my smell/taste has been diminished but not totally.

Oh, and before I relinquish the soapbox, a prediction:

the spread of omicron will so quickly outpace any vaxxes ability to help, that our much-vaunted healthcare leaders will finally admit we should be open to trying non-conventional, but safe meds for therapeutics. This odd, recent notion that cross-use of safe meds is somehow unethical is in itself unethical.

as evidence, I remind people that viagra was initially developed for angina, then was used for ED, and is now thought to help stave off Alzheimer’s. if we aren’t willing to throw everything ( even if the pills only cost a penny ) at a disease, we aren’t doing enough.

All I know is prior to vaccines and boosters I knew nobody with bad kidneys on dialysis. Right now I know 4 people on dialysis. All same story. 50 years plus in age. Ok health. Never any kidney issues. 2-6 months after the vaccine and or booster. Bam. Kidneys at 40% or lower. One of them is my mom.

I've seen some strange stuff. Three good friends were in great health before the vaccine and now they have all passed away from natural causes.

Two of them in their mid 80's and the other one was 93, all three were vaccinated. Could this be a coincidence?
