Murder

Every time I move or travel between Poland and OZ, it’s a shock to the system. In Poland, I carry a firearm most of the time; in Oz, even strong language is frowned upon by the authorities. Both my countries have similar crime and murder rates. I cannot comprehend how and why are honest citizens disallowed to defend themselves from criminals and forced to play the victim. If the state guarantees people’s safety as they claim, than the officials in charge of it should be held responsible and liable for every failure to do so.

Because the do Gooders and friends got control

I think I might have to change my mind about visiting you in Cairns with your “luck” non-existant…:ROFLMAO:
I thank God I am American and live in the Land of the Free!!! Nice to be a citizen and not a subject under a crown.

So no lockdowns or mask mandates there. Free would not have them. There is a great deal made on freedom but there are still only shades of freedom everywhere. No one is really free except in Christ the King and I am happy to live under His Crown

Unfortunately we cannot get rid of the foreigner in a foreign country as the head of my country! (ATM anyway)

Australia has still not grown up and still has to have the above! I think that will change on the death of the monarch! Talk about an archaic system!
Personally I resent the system!

I'll join you in that one.

I’m told there a some very sturdy change purses that double as blackjacks, of corse I wouldn’t know anything about that being Canadian.
Just keep your change in your sock...

I guess you could carry a roll of quarters in your pocket, but that's hard on the knuckles, unless they'd let you put it in a sock.

I wish I could say the same, they’re just not good.
I had to look up his filmography to remember he was in Machete. I suppose I might see Under Siege, it's supposed to be his best and was well-received.

It’s not impossible but extremely unlikely for that to happen here. The largest town in my county has 4300 people. Lots of people have 300 win mags and 30-30s behind their seat, (myself including, also a Sig 226) In my life, 24 years, we had one prison escape, and one hold up at a gas station, that I can remember.
If I live somewhere else, you bet your boots I would carry.

I’m not too far from you, up in Henry County. My town is about 2,500 people and the largest town is 13,000. I can recall 2 shootings in or around our town (one included my neighbor in self defense when he went to check on a couple drunk teenagers who’d rolled their truck), we’ve had multiple break ins, drugs, and about 18 years ago there was a triple murder 15 miles away in Toulon that included a 23 year old Sheriff’s deputy and a husband and wife.

More urban bullshit behaviour. Get out of town! I have multiple means of defense... including .45 ACP.

Been to Oz and loved it, but i live in the country with minimal regulations regarding self defense... and I am not leaving.

Move to Mareeba, just steer clear of KFC on Thursdays when the old boys have spent the chicken money on booze and the ladies get a little upset. Still the only time and place I have seen a besser block used as a bludgeon.
