There are many dead lying in the streets in some of the areas where they tried to invade peoples homes. The predominantly communities of Pheonix and Verulam and defended themselves with an unexpected ferocity and the police have been sending trucks to pick up the dead mad dogs- 14 or so last time I checked.
Complete rubbish. They're not confiscating anything. Stop listening to BS WhatsApp posts. How do I know? Well, considering I have friends in KZN who were doing said roadblocks they said to me that the police aren't trying to confiscating any of their firearms. If anything they're working together. I usually don't get riled up easily but now is not the time for parasitic fake news. It's kak.
Am I wrong though? Fake news does nothing but harm to communities in South Africa. Seems you're still shell-shocked after our last argument... Pathetic. You don't get riled up easily...ha fkn ha....

You're right, apologies.Let’s try to keep it civil and on topic Wilhelm, we all want the same thing in the end.

It's no problem, @Nkawu. I'm just amazed that the rumour you referred to was able to spread so easily and the person who started said rumour won't suffer any consequences. Not angry with you, just with the people exploiting the situation. Stay safe.WilhelmM, while I appreciate you have friends in KZN who are manning road blocks and you are getting info from them, I have been manning road blocks in KZN since Tuesday. There are hundreds if not thousands of said road blocks in the province. We have daily security meetings with the neighbouring heads of ‘security’ and have it as a fact that firearms were confiscated by Metro Police, not SAPS. As a result we all now have to abide by the firearms control act and not have our firearms displayed in public (i.e. rifle kept in vehicle, not on shoulder). The display of licenced firearms in public (illegal in normal times) is what I suspect has led to the confiscations.
We were also issued permits and letters from the head of SAPS in KZN last night to be able to show Metro police that what we are doing is allowed (community policing) in case of trouble from them. We have a protocol to follow in case of arrest as well as volunteer lawyers on standby to help if such a situation occurs.
To those suggesting our posts are fear mongering and will damage the industry etc- I apologise. I am defending my home and community and when the topic arose on AH I thought members would want to be kept abreast of current developments. So unless you plan on hunting bushpigs in the natal sugarcane you have nothing to worry about.

We landed at OR Tambo yesterday and headed straight to the NW Province… we observed no problems or issues at all along the way.. we even got out at a mall in Rustenburg and did some grocery shopping, went into a biltong shop, and hit the toilets… then drove to another part of Rustenburg and had lunch at a nice restaurant.. before finishing another 45 minute drive to the lodge.. all without incident or problem…
For us it was really almost an identical experience to when we last arrived in country in 2019…

You are fortunate not to have American type Democrats in your countryThere is a great opportunity here, blacks, whites and all races stood side by side to jointly defend themselves. That same spirit can be taken forward to now help feed people. South African communities are great, they do this sort if thing anyway. This is what happened in Zim after the land debacle and the collapse that resulted, we couldn't pay anybody, it was worthless anyway, but they all got a meal every day. Where there could have been bitterness there is now unity and racism is nowhere to be seen.
Looks like a tremendous opportunity for the decent folks that live nearby to test the durability of their vehicle suspensions. Maybe see who can drive over them the fastest without spilling their brandy and coke drink
Didn't know how to extract the video so apologies but here's a video of the mass arrests done by the SAPS. Job well done but we shouldn't let our guard down yet.
