Heym 89B

I'm excited for ya! .. If anyone can describe what differs, or makes a "PH" in the 88's?
Thank You.
It is a well made, no gimmick version, and you can purchase it with a Professional Hunters Licence only.

Does anyone by chance, "Have an Actual Picture of the 89 in 577" ?

Worth a try, many thanks AH!

Any buff or other big game yet with the 450/400 @Rare Breed?

Hello Kevin,

we are back in Germany. We had a succesfull hunt with my Heym 89 B in 450/400 NE3. It is a pleasure to shoot. Low recoil and extreme accurate. We hunted Buffalo and a Giraffe with it and I could not be happier with it. I added a few pictures and we have some videos as well.

Best regards Achim

Wonderful! That is a magnificent buff Lowdi!

I got to handle this 89b that just came into S&O, Heym really does deserve to be thanked for putting so much into getting it so 'correct', and congratulated upon the outcome. Form, Fit, Finish, Functionality, Fabulous - a five F gun!

@Kevin Peacocke I’m curious as I’ve certainly seen what sweating on a rifle in the Zimbabwe bush does to metal finishes, why not get the case hardened exterior? Yes, the case colors will be gone in a year, but the rust resistance from the colorless case remaining would provide more longevity, wouldn’t it? Or is the standard heym coin finish rust resistant as well?
A Coined finish, is literally a Colour Case-Hardened finish, that has has been polished off... Extremely durable, to say the very least...

it *was* the case in times gone past. It is usually a plating now. The cost and effort to do a bone and charcoal color case is high, to wash it away with “Tidy Bowl” is a waste. Thus, they usually do a modern heat treat and a plating, plating that can wear poorly or flake. It wears poorly compared to a color case finish that wears to brown and then dull gray as you know.

Waidmannsheil @Lowdi. Great shooting!!

Currently doing a load development on a .404 Jeffrey... it's always surprising to load .423 caliber bullets into a .404 caliber rifle. But we love it when we get 400 Gr North Fork SS bullets to 2300 FPS, those should hammer down on buffalo. Next up are the Cutting Edge solids and then Raptors... load 200 rounds of ammo for the customer and on to the next gun!
To much to political shit, to little Africa :-)
Spending a few years hunting out west then back to Africa!

Hello. If you haven't already sold this rifle then I will purchase. Please advise. Thank you.

I doubt you are interested in any trades but I was getting ready to list a Sauer 404 3 barrel set in the 10-12 price range if your interested. It has the 404J, 30-06 and 6.5 Creedmoor barrel. Only the 30-06 had been shot and it has 7 rounds through it as I was working on breaking the barrel in. It also has both the synthetic thumbhole stock and somewhere between grade 3-5 non thumbhole stock
