30 years ago I really wanted a 505 Gibbs.
That would be a good price for one for sure.
A recoil calculator online shows a 525 grain bullet at 2200 fps giving over 120 lbs of recoil at the weight that rifle is. Thanks, but no thanks!
Very cool rifle.

I have no issue saying I am not nearly man enough to pull the trigger on this rifle!!

Last year when I was in the Kalahari, I shot a CZ-550 in 416 Rigby with a synthetic stock, and the recoil was not bad at all. I was expecting more too.

Para, I just shot my new to me, CZ 550 in 416 Rigby yesterday for the first time.

I was pleasantly surprised with the smooth action and recoil. I purchased a Bell and Carlson American stock for it
I bought the gray. It reminds a little of elephant hide

Not long ago I owned a CZ 550, RSM, and my current Sako brown bear, all in 416. All with the exact same hand loads I found the CZ to be considerably more pleasant to shoot. Don't know if it was just the way it fit me, or the recoil pad or stock design. It was noticeably more pleasant though.

This is one of the older models with the barrel band in the fore end of the stock, but someone has added a barrel band as well. Were these older RSM's true CRF actions?
Didn’t catch that.. Honestly no clue

I know the recoil pads on Sako rifles is pretty narrow compared to the others you mentioned. That concentrates the force across a smaller area making it “feel” like more recoil.

Maybe this is why @krish has not bought it. :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

I have been using a "Personal Property" rider on my State Farm homeowner's policy to cover guns when I travel with them.
I have several firearms, but only one is worth over $20K (A Heym double rifle).
Very interested.
Would firearms be covered for damage, as well as, complete loss?
I'll can let the State Farm rider cover my watches...
