Good Gun Deals This Week

Looking at the feedback I would have jumped on that. However, cash to a PO Box??? You would have to be an absolute fool.
It’s gun broker so you’re better protected against fraud compared to other online sites.

Things that jump out at me; that many sales and only taking a money order is a red flag. That many sales and nothing recent feedback wise since August is a red flag. That many sales and not having a bunch of items listed.

Yeah I assume it was a legitimate seller that got hacked. I have to say Ive not been impressed with my dealings with gunbroker customer service in the past. Impossible to get in touch with and unhelpful. If you dont use the “gunbroker pay” you are pretty much on your own.

I must respectfully disagree. Gunbroker’s buyers protection plan covers all of $500 minus a $100 deductible. It covers nothing essentially. If you purchase by credit card you can report the fraud and get reimbursement but most scammers don’t take cc. What I really hate about Gunbroker is that they could take steps to help mitigate this by doing a much better job of vetting sellers like verifying sellers identification and obtaining credit card information from the seller, etc.. like some of the other online sites like guns.com and gunsinternational. They could but they won’t, apparently their business model is successful enough they feel no need to change.

As someone who sells on gun broker a bit, I had to verify my bank account to them and credit card. I’ve had buyers and sellers try to scam me (both over the limit you posted) and Gun Broker has protected/refunded in both instances.

I too sell and buy on Gunbroker quite a bit as well. If a buyer is scammed out of money, they will cover up to $500 minus a $100 deductible nor can you talk to a live person.

Although the above situation where a legitimate sellers information was hacked on the English 416 Rigby for $5000, if a buyer was foolish enough to try and buy it, I assure you they would net be compensated by Gunbroker more than $500, their written rules, not mine.

I do not see the number of online scams with guns international, guns America and guns, com, although they are not online auction sites, they just sell. Haven’t studied the situation on Gunbroker in-depth, but they have way more scammers, and the occasional shill bidding, easy to identify by most who do their due diligence.

I’ll continue to use Gunbroker, I just proceed with caution and recommend others do the same.

Excellent shop and people. I stop in and look whenever I’m in San Antonio. The owner is a huge Model 70 collector.
A buddy of mine bought a nice Sako Safari AIV 375 h&h there about a month ago for a reasonable price.

That might be their policy in writing but they will protect above it. Additionally some banks will protect you as a buyer/seller, and like you mentioned some credit cards offer you as a buyer better protection.

Someone please save me from myself. Great deal at Cabela’s. Freddy Brunner Mauser 30-06, used but excellent condition. On sale for $780, ($150 off). https://www.basspro.com/shop/en/101467393

I don’t need another 30-06, so someone please snatch up this great deal.

At first glance that looks more like a Springfield action than a LR Mauser…

Still a good price on what is likely a well made 30-06

I'm with @mdwest , it looks more like an '03 Springfield action to me; but still a great rifle nonetheless. I could do without the integral muzzle brake, but looks like a well built rifle.

You will rarely find me discouraging someone from buying a nice rifle, so I say go for it! ;-)

Simpsonsltd will be listing some Zastava in 375 / 9.3x62 / Mauser 99/Voere Titan II 375 etc some nice 8x68s - would like to clarify - I do not work or get comission from Simpsons ! I buy & sell antique & luger/c96 from and to them !

The Brunner rifle stated above appears to be a Mexican Mauser or another type of Mauser with a Mexican cocking piece.

That’s a whole lotta gun for that price
It sure is! What a beautiful rifle for someone. I’ve always liked the Montana Rifle Company’s products. They are good value for the dollar. If it were in practically any other caliber, I might buy it, but I don’t think I need two 458 Lotts.

Dang rotator cuff injury / recovery is keeping me from the 458 Lott but the want is high.

Chopped up the whole thing as I kept hitting the 240 character limit...
Found out the trigger word in the end... It was muzzle or velocity. dropped them and it posted.:)
