Buckums, I have two lighted reticle Swarovski scopes. The electronics are in the eye piece. The eye piece is large and cumbersome. And if wanting a svelte profile. The Swaro does take away from the profile.

Depending on your rifles bolt handle angle. They can get in the way. Or be too close for fast cycling. I like the glass and features of the Swaro. But not the ergonomics. So be sure to look into scopes with the electronics not in the eyepiece.

Many have no issues with the large eyepiece. Just throwing it up as an issue for me.

I failed to get pics.. but there’s a pre 64 Winchester 70 in 30-06 in the schnees powderhorn gun room in Bozeman, MT right now with a $1200 price tag on it…

It had an inexpensive scope on it (older Burris I think) and looked like it had been hunted pretty hard over the years.. but was still priced well below its value I think if anyone is in the market.. especially considering MT has no sales tax..
 
This is a nice setup ready to go for buffalo! Factor in a $400 Leupold VX3 1.5-5 scope, nice synthetic stock and barrel band on rifle, plus CZ Safari no longer made, seems reasonably priced, plus ships to any Cabelas or Bass Pro for free.

BTW, they have a rally nice Winchester M70 crf with nice grain in the stock for $1500 the salesman tried to push as a second choice to me.

That is a pretty good deal as well. Especially if a member in CA wants one!
 
Thanks, nice to grab a deal once in awhile! (Shout out to BJH65) California gun shops have been hit hard by the state's new 11% sin tax on firearms and ammo. The owner of the shop has been having a tough time. My FFL guy said his transfers have slowed way down.

This looks like a steal at first blush but...every gun the seller lists is on a different background and overall the add seems fishy. As far as the gun goes- wood and metal finish looks off to my eye. If I lived close Id try to look at it before laying any gold down

Currently doing a load development on a .404 Jeffrey... it's always surprising to load .423 caliber bullets into a .404 caliber rifle. But we love it when we get 400 Gr North Fork SS bullets to 2300 FPS, those should hammer down on buffalo. Next up are the Cutting Edge solids and then Raptors... load 200 rounds of ammo for the customer and on to the next gun!

I doubt you are interested in any trades but I was getting ready to list a Sauer 404 3 barrel set in the 10-12 price range if your interested. It has the 404J, 30-06 and 6.5 Creedmoor barrel. Only the 30-06 had been shot and it has 7 rounds through it as I was working on breaking the barrel in. It also has both the synthetic thumbhole stock and somewhere between grade 3-5 non thumbhole stock
