I think proof at this point is on you.

Provide the tracking number to the person that’s already purchased something from you. Then people will believe you after the item is delivered in the condition you claimed it was in…

Until then I’m pretty sure the membership here will flag your posts and warn all potential buyers you can’t be trusted.

It’s not up to everyone else to prove you are trustworthy…

It’s up to you..

If you’re not a thief… you have every opportunity to prove it… if you choose not to.. then I’d say the belief you are a thief or that this is a hacked account is well warranted..

I will send him the tracking number tomorrow morning, i was having a issue with shipping company but it's almost fixed and i will get the tracking number tomorrow.

PLEASE GUYES NEVER NEVER BLAME SOMEONE FROM A FAKE STROY OR A STORY YOU DONT KNOW THE

If you’ve already shipped the spotter like you stated above, then you have a tracking number to provide regardless if there’s been movement or an issue with the shipping company.

Yes it’s shipped! Tomorrow he will receive the tracking and al’ your blaming messages will go to trash.. well see

If it’s shipped then you have a tracking number now to give him. Why are we having to explain this?

I’ve also seen scams where random items are shipped to provide tracking number but the actual item is not. Either way, I’m glad he started a claim and will hopefully get his money back.

@Hennie

you should already have the tracking number if you shipped it. that means you can give this info to the buyer and set him at ease. otherwise, i suspect you are a scammer. prove me wrong and place the tracking number that you will already have (if you shipped it) with the buyer.

I told you a problem happened! I will explain when i get the tracking.. just wait

Shooting forum accounts are being hacked and used for selling non existent items. Hope this isn't one of them.

Waiting to see the outcome on this.

I contacted buyer and got some info.
Also contacted Swarovski for info on unit, as there was a serial number visible.

Seller, Repair Form and PayPal paid are all three different names.

Just wanted let AH members know more on this.

Accounts on AH are not hacked. Never have been.

People possibly misplacing their password or not securing it......

I have asked the "buyer" to contact me with details. If there is an issue Hennie will be bounced.

All the ads are deleted except this one.

This sucks. I hate seeing good folks getting fleeced. Let’s hope this is all a misunderstanding.

Question to the moderators and AH members: Given how easy it appears to be for a scammer to post a classified on this forum and steal money from a member, should there not be a requirement for a seller to be vetted and approved before being allowed to post a classified?

Perhaps one process could be that a person wanting to post a classified has to submit a "request to sell" that goes out to the members that provides certain information about the seller (not the product), and then at least one other long-standing or well-known member has to send the moderators an approval, vouching for the seller...only then would the seller be allowed to post to the classifieds. Whatever we come up with, it seems to me that we need to do better to protect our own.

Hello, My wife and I hunted with Marius 2 years ago. He fit us into his schedule after a different outfitter "bailed" on us. He was always very good with communications and although we didn't end up meeting him personally, he called us multiple times during our hunt to make sure things were going well. We were very happy with him.

Reach out to the guys at Epic Outdoors.

They will steer you right for landowner tags and outfitters that have them.

I have held a membership with them for years and they are an invaluable resource.

Way better that asking random people on the internet...WAY better
