Thank YouHere is the forum that I filled out for Qatar for my rifle, mine was also handled by TWG so I am not sure of just what the process was.
Just leave those blank for now until you get to airport.Thank You
CertificateNo: and Date of issue, do i just put N/A in those 2 spots?
I'm assuming that is the only paperwork needed from Qatar Airways?Just leave those blank for now until you get to airport.
that’s what I am doing.
They will want your final destination (SA?)rifle import paperwork and a copy of your US customs 4457 form.I'm assuming that is the only paperwork needed from Qatar Airways?
I understand the extra copies of everything "not my first safari", but it is my first time with Qatar, is there a letter of permission from Qatar? On top of the Declaration of Surrender of Firearms that I need. Thanks @dchum ! You're exactly right - many duplicates of all paperwork including your 4457, passport, invite, import (destination). Notification to the airline in advance is also required.
seems like you don’t need help then...have a good one.I understand the extra copies of everything "not my first safari", but it is my first time with Qatar, is there a letter of permission from Qatar? On top of the Declaration of Surrender of Firearms that I need.
I’m sorry, I think u might be misinterpreting what I am saying, thanks for your informationseems like you don’t need help then...have a good one.
I tried telling you in my last comment all the paper work Qatar would like to see. Even a travel agent commented what Qatar will want. but seems like you already know?

Letter of invitation from PH certainly won't hurt." and pass port...
good luck
I flew Qatar in July of '21 from Atlanta to Jo'berg via Qatar. Airline par excellence. I will certainly look to them for my next trips. I flew with a rifle, and if I may, let me explain why I was so thrilled with their service...I'm going to SA in May and was wondering if anyone has flown Qatar Airlines lately and how are they about traveling with rifles?
I think I did too. My apologiesI’m sorry, I think u might be misinterpreting what I am saying, thanks for your information
I am confused, why are you even dealing with this? When I booked with @TRAVEL EXPRESS on Qatar last year Jennifer took care of everything. She sent me the forms, which I filled out and sent back to her. Next thing I heard was the approval email from Qatar.FYI I talked to Jennifer yesterday she confirmed what I thought. Yes I do need a Permission for Firearm and the Declaration Form from Qatar Airways. I talked to Qatar this morning and they have received my gun and ammunition information, but are slow about getting the letter out. But I still have 60 days until departure.
I'm not sure but something may have changed. When I started talking to Michelle and booked my hunt she mentioned that she would have to send them the email but the other day when the time came she said they had changed it and I would have to call them and get the link to send the email to. I called and the guy asked a bunch of questions about what kind of gun, the dimensions of the case and all kinds of stuff then he gave me the email address and told me to send an email request to bring my gun and to put my booking reference and FIREARM in the title line and then to include in the email a copy of my passport, my "gun license" which I assume is the 4457 and any other information such as an invitation to an international shooting competition which I took to mean my invitation letter. So I sent the email last Tuesday. I will in the future talk to jennifer @TRAVEL EXPRESS before dealing with them again for sure.I am confused, why are you even dealing with this?
